I’ve bought hundreds of this brand
Brightsign is the industry leader. This new model is nice. No need for a dust cover on the micro as card anymore. Plays 4k. It’s a totally bullet proof system. I bought 16 to sync a video wall with. My only complaint is that the software to make video walls is only on PC and that software is really clunky and not intuitive. I’ve grown used to it but man could it use a refresh Note: to play 4k you’ll need to encode to h265

Solid Performance for Digital Signage
Setting this up was straightforward, and it's been reliably playing back both Full HD and 4K content. It handles various video formats smoothly. While it's a capable player, the software interface could be a bit more intuitive.

The unit was locked to another owner. Tech support was no help.
I guess these devices get locked to your account, kinda in the same way the iPhone gets locked to an iPhone account. I purchased this "used" one. BrightSign said to just send it back for a refund as it cannot be removed from their cloud except by the previous owner. Lesson learned.

LS425 does NOT play 4K!! Listing is incorrect!
This listing for the LS425 says it plays 4K, but that is incorrect. I bought this player from that description, which put me in a bad spot with my client. To output 4K video, you need at least the LS445 (not LS425) as listed here.
