Order size up!
I've been a big fan of the Teva Olowahu (nylon) sandal for years. I was super excited to see this in leather so I ordered my normal size 7 that I have the nylon ones in. Way too small! I compared this 7 to my other Teva Olowahu sandal, size 7, and there was a world of difference in the length' these were at least a 1/4" smaller. I returned them.I decided to take a chance and order the 8s in case they fit more like a normal size 7. I received the 8s yesterday and they fit like a charm! When I compared these to my other Teva Olowahu sandals, the cut (shape of the shoe bed) is a little different but the length of the shoe is the same. I've been wearing them since I received them and so far I'm happy with the 8s.The Olowahu sandal is very cute, comfortable, secure, and has some arch support, which I really like. If you order these, please order up a size!

A little smaller than the fabirc Olowahu
These are great sandals. The leather is very smooth and soft - they didn't need any breaking in at all, and no blisters or rubbing spots. The only thing I did notice is the actual sandal length is a little shorter than the fabirc Olowahu. I didn't need to go up in size, but almost, so if you wear one size in the Olowahu and your foot goes all the way to the back, you might want to go up 1/2 size in the leather. I had a little room in my fabric Olowahus at the back so the leather fit perfectly without my heel hanging over. They also have a more solid rubber bottom sole (against the ground, not the foot) than the foam bottom of the fabric Olowahu - it's is a little tougher and I think it's worth the higher price because I'm pretty sure they will last longer. These sandals are definitely a new favorite of mine!!

High Quality & Great Fit for My Narrow Feet!
I love these sandals! I wear between a 7.5 and an 8 (I'm actually a true 8N but no one makes narrow shoes so it usually works best for me to go down a half size so the fit isn't sloppy) and I found the size 8 in these flip flops to be perfect. The length is just right for me - plenty of space so my feet fit comfortably in the foot bed without toes or heels hanging over but not so much that they look sloppy. I have a very old pair of Olawahu flips with the nylon straps in size 7 and an old pair of Mush flips in size 8. These are somewhere in between. The straps do fit snugly at first but will ease up with wear (bummer for me!). They'll also mold nicely to your feet with wear and they are sooo comfortable. Great price for a high quality pair of flip flops. I wish they came in a whole rainbow of colors!

Teva Leather Olawahu Lets Me Know It's THERE.....!
I ordered these sandals in my regular size, (8) and they were very tight, and shorter than the size 8 Olawahu nylon sandals that I usually wear. I returned them and ordered a 9, which came today. Fits perfectly. The problem, as someone else has mentioned, is they squeak! Not when walking forward, but when turning side-to-side in them. (My husband thought I was farting! #notwithprobioticsonboard) Anyway, I am on a mission to dispel this problem tout suite, and if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. It's clearly the leather rubbing against my bare feet, so I'm thinking maybe rough the surface up a bit with some fine sandpaper, and see how that goes. I have heard of baby powder and the like, but I'd like a more permanent solution. That said, this sandal was comfortable from the moment I put them on, and I've been wearing them all day. I have no doubt they will be as comfortable, and more so, as I go on. Just got to get that squeak!!

A cute, narrow flip flop!!
Very happy with these! Read the reviews, and hoped they were true. The majority said they were tight and way too narrow. Yay! I have narrow feet and rarely wear flip flops because they always feel like they’re flopping right off my feet. Actually purchased this style in the fabric first, because with the extra straps style, I hoped it might help them stay more securely on my feet. The extra strap does help in both styles, but once the sole condenses they are pretty wide....but I can stitch stuck in the fabric ones. I don’t think the leather ones should stretch much since they aren’t tight on me. I wear an 8, so that’s what I purchased, and they fit perfect.

Way too small
I've worn Teva's for years and these are a full size small. I returned and purchased the canvas style in my normal size.. perfect fit. I really wanted to order a larger size but they were not available. The leather is soft, great Teva style and quality.. just someone lost their mind when sizing these. The actual footbed is smaller (up to a size if I had to guess) when held up sole to sole with the canvas style.I contacted Teva and they had not heard of them being smaller which makes me wonder if Amazon sellers had counterfeit ones. It's been known to happen.

These run smaller than cloth Olowahu sandals
I have two pair of cloth olowahu sandals that I practically live in. I've had them for 10 & 6 years and I absolutely love them! Super comfortable super durable. I was thrilled to find them in leather, wanting something a step nicer. The leather ones truly are smaller than the same sized cloth sandals in length and width, and the straps are tighter. The pictures show the leather ones (brown) side by side to the cloth olowahu sandals (black). I'm heartbroken they are so uncomfortable!

Great shoe
Loved this shoe in the rubber version but not that I have tried the leather its all I wear. I prefer shoes that don't have a black sole because it tends to rub off and make the bottoms of my feet black this one does not. What I like the best about this leather though is the way it stays on and does not slip around. Its still has a good squish but is a bit firmer and more sturdy than the rubber, when this pair wears out I'm going to order another!
