Excellent Title - Excellent Series
The Bullet that Missed is written by Richard Osman. It is Book #3 in the Thursday Murder Club Mystery series.A local, decade-old, cold case leads the Thursday Murder Club to a local news celebrity. But there is no body and very few, if any, leads. This is a brilliant, funny, charming, intelligent and interesting mystery series - The Thursday Murder Club.Book #3 The Bullet that Missed introduces us to several ‘new’ friends who fit in nicely with the original ‘Gang of Four’ - Elizabeth, Ron, Joyce & Ibrahim.I couldn’t put the book down! *****

Great read and fresh approaches
I'm thoroughly enjoying this series. The prose is glib, the characters are fresh and alive, and the plots are inventive and surprising. I'm particularly taken with the relations between Elizabeth and her husband, where she's so protective and supportive as a brilliant man sinks into dementia. This isn't often dealt with in what I read.

Complicated and entertaining
Osman has done it again. You never know who the murderer is until almost the ending, and then he adds a few more surprises. The characters are easy to like as they collaborate in solving an old murder and preventing a new one.

I’ve Just Figure it Out!
The plots are increasingly convoluted and far-fetched, but I’ve just figured out the immense appeal of “The Thursday Murder Club” books: the characters are so damn likable that it doesn’t actually matter that the plots are increasingly convoluted and far-fetched!This is a group of septuagenarians that you’d absolutely want to hang out with!

Sure to be another winner
I haven’t read this one yet but I love this author. My friend introduced me to him and I have bought at least 2 more of his books and I hope he keeps writing because I totally enjoy all his characters

I love these Characters!
Delightful read! This series is so uplifting and fun to read. Not only are these myriad characters unique and well developed, you just fall in love with each of them. And with this installment we have some new interesting players in the mix.As an octogenarian, I genuinely appreciate these “old folks” being so savvy, smart, courageous, fun and funny. This is story telling at its finest without being ostentatious. This series hits all the boxes for an entertaining story and mystery.

I just love these characters
These characters are all so lovely yet complex. The mysteries are very intriguing but successfully told without the use of blood and gore. I'm definitely going to continue reading the series.

The bullet that missed
This is such rollicking good fun. Richard Oscan is not a senior but he understands them very well. It is so enjoyable to realize that( us) still have our marbles and can contributre to society. The plots are intricate and the characters well formed. An excellent read for anyone but especially those seventy plus

Very enjoyable
Very enjoyable and fun book. By now, after 3 books, I’ve got to know and love the main characters. I sometimes find it hard to follow who did what when, but maybe that’s just me lol. The way things happen, without gore and without making you fear for your life makes for a very pleasant read. The story keeps you gripped and wanting to know what’s going to happen next, at the same time chuckling, as it’s full of humour. Great books, onto the next one!
