Aunt Jackie's Curl La La Defining Curl Custard – Enriched with Shea Butter & Olive Oil – 511 g Tub (18 oz)

I have 4C hair and used Aunt Jackie’s Curl La La years ago when I lived in the US. I was so happy to stumble on it again here in the UK! It defines my curls beautifully without making them crunchy or dry, and my hair feels soft and moisturised for days. The smell is lovely too, not too strong, just clean and pleasant. I’d forgotten how good this product is and it’s great to see it still works just as well. I’m planning to try a few other products from the range now that I’ve found it again. Highly recommend for anyone with coily or tightly textured hair.

Been using this for about a year. Most curling products tend to smell of coconut, but this one smells very fruity, which is a nice change. I crunch it into my curls when my hair is wet to towel-dry, and it helps my curls sit nicely throughout the day. You do need to be careful with the amount, as too much can make it feel thick or heavy.

Nice product, I am 62 and use this regularly, I have a curly bob so a small amount goes a long way, put it through wet hair with fingers, then using the palm of your hands squash it into hair from root to tip next scrunch hair and leave to dry for a while before using a diffuser. Good value

Smells good enough to eat (but don't eat it please LOL) My daughter loves this and I bought it as a gift for her. She has quite a strict hair regime and this was not one that she had asked me to buy for her. I was very happy when she tried it out and her hair looked glossy and shiny. I tried some on my hair too and it smells devine. My hair was soft and silky after trying it out. I used a tiny bit but my hair is usually quite soft anyway but this did make it softer and really nice. My daughter however has curly and slightly dry hair with a bit of frizz. This was wonderful for her hair but she did use loads of it. I think the price is very reasonable for this item and I will buy more again when this is finished and get one for myself too. We do not have ethnic hair but I think it may possibly be aimed at that market judging from you tube clips I have seen promoting it. However, I would comfortably say it is great for all hair types based on my hair and my daughters hair type.

Aunt Jackie’s Curl La La Defining Curl Custard is one of my hair holy grail products for the following reasons: 1) As someone with 3B/3C type hair, this product is lightweight and doesn’t weigh my hair down. Most of the time, I only need a tiny amount mixed with sprays of water for the best results and it’ll leave my hair feeling soft and bouncy, even after two days! 2) I always make sure to scrunch my hair after applying curl products and it does an amazing job at holding the shape of the curls/waves without drying my hair out and it’s never caused me any frizz. 3) After applying this product, the instant effect will be shiny, moisturized and nourishing looking locks, and after a few days, the curls/waves still remain intact, given that you follow proper maintenance. 4) Unlike other curl products, this one has never caused any build-up, flaking and damage to my hair or scalp, which is a huge plus for me, because I’m picky with what I put in my hair and it does a fantastic job for a great price. It’s definitely worth it. 5) Oh and I forgot to mention that it smells absolutely divine! It’s not an overpowering or artificial scent, but rather quite a clean and fruity one. Overall, this product is just great for my hair type and my hairdresser even approved of it. It gets the job done (bear in mind that it’s not a GEL, so don’t expect the same) and leaves my hair feeling so refreshed and moisturized!

I read the reviews of this product and was in search of something to give my waves more definition. Product arrived in perfect condition. It has a thick consistency and smells very appealing. Initially I made the mistake of using too much product and ended up with crunchy curls. My second attempt was much better using a smaller amount of product and the third time I used wet hands to mix a little water with the product before applying to my hair and this worked a charm. It held my deeper than usual waves for several days until the next wash. At this rate, the tub should last me well over a year!

I received the package earlier that the delivery date, it was packed nicely, the cream itself that it's not the first time to use it, I think it's very good for my hair since it's all natural, I don't really use it to defining curls, I'm using for styling also, it doesn't give the hair this plastic look like other creams and it's very gentle on the hair.
