If you have been intrigued by yoga but felt too intimidated to enrol in a class or you feel it will be too hard at this stage, or you just want some workout time at home, then I can help you. In this programme Yoga Made Simple we will focus on the foundations and the basics. This is your place to grow, increase your flexibility and build strength within your body. I have created a Beginners programme that also has an 'Improvers' aspect to it giving you more options and a chance to push yourself a little further when you feel ready. No rush though. You'll see your body change and evolve as you practise more and more. This programme is divided in to four bite size workout sections: Stretch, Core, Energy and Relaxation designed to give you more freedom. You can mix and match as you wish depending on your mood and time constraints. You can choose to do one workout section or if you have more time you can do all four sections together giving you a fuller workout. Before discovering her passion for yoga Alexandra originally trained as a Fitness Instructor, a dance instructor and Personal Trainer. Her work as a TV presenter ( pit lane reporter of Eurosport s live coverage of the World Touring Car Championship ) takes her all around the world so she began to explore different styles of yoga and learnt from many fantastic teachers globally. In 2014, Alexandra had a serious accident which broke her back. Doctors also discovered she had a degenerative disc disease and recommended that she discontinued any high impact sports and to focus on her yoga. So focus she did. In 2015 Alexandra went to South India and under the guidance of some of the world's best yoga guru's she trained intensively at a wonderful renowned ashram gaining her teaching qualifications and advancing her knowledge and skill. Since then Alexandra has taught in various ashrams and yoga centres globally and has built up her reputation as a wonderful teacher. 4 Sections: - STRETCH - This is a great stretching sequence but equally it is a great cool down routine as well. Through stretching you can help the energy flow throughout your body. (Options for 'improvers' level throughout) CORE - This is a stronger more dynamic routine with moves focusing on toning not only your tummy but the whole body. There are postures designed to engage your Ab s for both the front and back of body. (Options for 'improvers' level throughout) ENERGY - This is a great energising routine with moves and postures designed to revitalize and energise you. (Options for 'improvers' level throughout) RELAXATION - This is a relaxing calming sequence. There are breathing sections which guide your body and mind to more calm relaxed state. Great introduction to Yoga
Whole DVD is about an hour. I am a beginner and wanted to find something that would be easy and straightforward to follow, but something that could be done in small chunks if I only have 10-15 minutes. This is perfect! There are 4 sections; starting with some stretches, then some Core work, moving onto some poses to Energise and then a great Relaxation section at the end. The latter would be good as a wind down at the end of the day. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow, but challenging enough not to be boring. Some of the Core poses are repeated in the Energise section. My boyfriend has also had a go at the first 2 parts (there are 4 in total) and thought it was quite a tough workout. He says he's going to do it on a regular basis to keep him more supple. You are advised to work to what feels good for you so it can be as easy or tough as you make it - I had a heart incident a couple of months ago, so want to build up my strength more gradually. I certainly felt the workout the next day :)The only thing which would improve this for me, is if the start of the Relaxation section was a 'section' start on the DVD so you could get straight to it without the 'intro' before it, but I will just have to fast forward :)

Yoga
It is brilliant yoga DVD. Very beneficial as yoga is and l like the proper names that Alexandra (the girl in the video) uses for her different yoga poses. An excellent video. Thankyou. I highly recommend itfrom someone who has been doing yoga for nearly 30 years.

Nice presenter, appropriate pace for beginners. I would personally love it to be longer so I could choose between a couple more different sessions. She explains stuff very well though and it's a good starting point.

Perfect Yoga Workout and Relaxation DVD! Ticks all the boxes.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys yoga but also if you are looking for an introduction to it. With only a basic understanding of yoga this is the perfect level for me to do at home. There are also lots of moves to work towards getting confident with. It's perfect for dipping in and out of the different sessions when I don't have time to complete the full DVD. I love hearing the official names of the yoga posses throughout and make me want to learn more about yoga. Alexandra's direction is really clear, calming and reassuring. I've been enjoying this DVD and has assisted getting me back into my fitness routine.

It's ok
I bought two of these by different teachers and I prefer the other. Alexandra takes things slowly which is valuable but I found myself trying to watch the screen and do moves at the same time which isn't ideal. However, I've been encouraged to start a live class.

I have been going to yoga for many years but unfortunately haven’t been for nearly a year because of COVID. I bought this and try and do one session everyday, it’s brilliant, only 20 minute sessions. Buy it now!
