Great for imaginative train play
Train kept my grandson entertained for hours. Very happy that he is happy. Ordered 2 different train sets so he can have multiple tracks running at one time. I hope though that the remotes are each a different frequency. Would hate to see one remote run all the trains. Would defeat the purpose of interacting with each. Train doesn't seem to have enough power to run up a hill and remote horn and light functions sometimes will not work unless powering off then on the train. Other than these, happy I purchased them.

Awesome!
The media could not be loaded. Great motorized train that fit the old wooden Thomas tracks that they no longer make. We have the table and tons of tracks and cars from our first child 20 years ago. However, they have stopped making these and the ones we have are getting pretty beat and don’t work that great. I was thrilled to find this fit and works great. It’s actually better designed than the Thomas cars as the wheels are on a pivot to make the turns and climbs better. As well as the magnets in the back. The controller is a nice touch and you can use without it as well plus it has stop and reverse, train sounds and whistles! In the video I uploaded the batteries were running pretty low but still was able to climb the hill as you can see. It’s also pretty quiet. Ordering the other models from this company. My little ear is very excited to have his “own” that weren’t his older siblings.

Fun train, but doesn’t last very long
Our kid LOVES this train. Runs it for hours each night! The only downside is the train doesn’t last very long as we’ve found it slows down considerably with much less torque after a few months. Taking it apart and cleaning the axles helped, but has never brought it back to the original level of power it had. (Admittedly, kid uses it to tow about a dozen cars so it’s surprisingly powerful when new.)Great train that we wished would last longer

My son is obsessed!
A friend of ours had this train for their kids. My little guy was absolutely obsessed with it, and we added it to his Amazon wishlist for his birthday. This battery operated train will provide your kid with hours of fun! It goes great on train tracks of a Train table, but also does really well just cruising around on the open floor. This is a top favorite toy in our house!

Careful with the little black button
I have read the reviews of the remote not linking, I had this same problem, then I saw there is a black button that doesn't even look like a button more forward of the big yellow buttons. If this isn't in the right position, the train won't link. Every time I have found it not linking, I pushed this button and it linked. Hope this post helps others fix your issues...

Works great as a standalone train. Remote is kinda trash.
The train itself is good. It fits under most default train tunnels and bridges without issue. unlike Thomas the train engines which dont fit on the default wodden bridges without clipping the walls because hey are too wide. The Remote is bad. Like it works. but it has to be aimed directly at the train. and i mean.. DIRECTLY. there is some kind of sensor and IR flash thats not very good. the train has to have direct line of sight to the front of the controller. Which often lead my toddler to avoid using it because he couldnt get the concept and even when he did point it right at it then half the time it wouldnt work. SO he just gave up on it and uses the buttons on top. it has nice soft touch buttons that are forwards backwards and stop. The second car has a little flashing light inside tha tmakes it look like people inside but it has some kind of bug. No one will have touched this train for like 6 hours and then the lights on this thing will just start flashing. and they wont stop. very buggy. just make it a switch next time.

Train or Tank
This thing is great. I got the remote, kinda delayed w the response but kid can't tell so still worth getting w remote. But this tank, train pulls like a champ, climbs the ramps like a champ while hauling a load of 6 behind lol. Kid love it, I love it. Worth it.

Pretty Awesome
I wasn't expecting much from this purchase but after 6 months I have to say this train has been a champ. Strong motor that is able to tackle hill climbs with most of the train cars. The remote is intuitive enough and the range isn't bad for a sub $20 toy. Overall I'm highly impressed with this train and would recommend it to anyone interested.
