We do uploading & downloading and need a device to do it quickly this Arris Modem/Router combo is easy to install and is quick on all our computers, laptops, phones!Reason is obtaining a great wifi service at home! If you cannot afford good wifi high speeds, then do not waste your money as nothing will satisfy your Internet experience!! Save yourself the headaches!I repeat do not blame the modems or routers it’s all in the high speed wifi!!!This brand is one of the best to provide 2.5 and a 5.0GhzYou will end up Returning Every Modem or Router you may try!

This was a waisted of my time. There's no way anyone checked this modem out prior to me purchasing this modem. Wifi light would never stay on consistently and would just shut off all together after ten minutes or so. Pages on Google would never fully load so it was useless from the start. I'll buy a new one and return this one just like the person prior to me did. There's no way anyone checked this unit out before selling it to me.

Connected and called tech line of my service company. They immediately recognized unit, updated it's programming and had it up and running in less than 5 minutes. Getting much faster speeds than before

Value: $60. Tops as a refurbished.It would probably be good enough for that price but nothing more, better off getting brand newDidn’t try it because does not work with cox.But the it felt used, it must of been touchup painted. Felt tacky like it was painted the day before.

Returned the Spectrum “Free” Modem and bought my own. Gained an extra 100+mbps (used to be download- 245mbps vs now 365 mbps) on this DOCSIS 3.1 Modem vs my older DOCSIS 3.0 which spectrum has stopped supporting in my Los Angeles area. Kept getting hourly interruptions until the change

This was a re-conditioned item. I bought it with the idea that it would be working to 100% standards. Turns out, I wasted 3 hours of my life attempting to get the modem/router to connect without dropping a signal on Labor Day weekend. The technician on the end of the phone was just as frustrated. Eventually, I went back to using the "leased" modem (exact modem/ model #, Mac code transfer, etc.) that I wished to not pay for anymore. Huge waste of my time on Labor Day weekend. Determined that this modem from Amazon is defective. Amazon should have tossed it in the garbage- not re-purposed it out it up for sale.

The 2.4 G has low range and very slow even sitting next to it. The 5G is very fast and has exceptional range.I am keeping it and just getting a wifi router. for the 2.4 G. My smart plugs use 2.4 so it has to have decent range and speed.
