Makes pour-overs a lot less hassle.
Lovely little thing. I think it is actually more effective than a pour-over kettle, and a lot more convenient. Really clever design with two different flow rates. The most important thing is that it really does make better coffee.

Gently add water to a V60/Switch type brewer without buying a swan necked kettle.
Allows you to pour water from an ordinary kettle (so good if you don't have a special swan neck type) into a Hario V60/Switch type brewer without disturbing the coffee ground bed. If that is something you are eager to try as part of your brewing method/recipe, this could avoid the cost of a swan neck kettle. Just place on top and pour into the centre circle which fills up and flows into the outer circle. Both areas drip into the brewer thus spreading out and reducing the flow of water. Cheap and easy to use. Just rinse if it gets coffee on it.

Not what i was expecting - Am i missing something?
I dont know whether i expected too much as it was vouched for by 2013 world barista champion but hugely disappointed that at the slightest touch the shower head angles itself in the V60 dripper. I have a Hario Ceramic Switch V60 & glass WPM V60 & none of them make a shred of difference to the above. The idea is to add consistency to your pour & had wanted to purchase the melodrip but couldn't find a UK source so opted for this. It will be returned (unused) & i have purchased the MHW adjustable shower head at half the price & it will hopefully stay put when the pour begins. Cannot believe this is better designed by Hario. Am i missing something Hario?

Worth it for the dripper alone!
Excellent starter bundle! I love a goose neck kettle or just for pour from but packing one isn’t practical when traveling to the office or backpacking. This is where the dripper becomes an essential. Arguably it makes a better less turbulent v60 than any other goose neck can. Highly recommend.

Great little gadget.
This is very useful for coffees which have a lot of fines as it completely eliminates any agitation of the coffee bed while adding water. Ethiopian coffees can tend to have very long draw down times, and this helps a lot. Very useful addition to your V60 setup.

I've been making great coffee with this for a couple weeks now. The V60 is and has been a classic for a reason, but what I really love is the Hario Drip Assist. It consistently and easily gives me good repeatable results, no matter which kettle I use, which is great at home but also when traveling/brewing at work. You don't need an expensive gooseneck kettle, pretty much any kettle works with the Hario Drip Assist. I also appreciate that there's filter paper included, though in my opinion it should be clearly stated in the description. For a easily repeatable good brew I take the water heated to 100°C straight from the kettle, prewet the filter paper. I grind the coffeegrounds on the coarser end for a pourover, usually 18g (and 300g out). I do a ~60g bloom with the center of the Drip Assist, bloom for 40-60s, pour (again with the center of the Drip Assist) to 300g, briefly agitate with a spoon at the end of the pour and then let the rest drain. I could maybe get more out of my coffee with multiple pours, which the Drip Assist lets you do, but in my opinion 3+ pours adds variables which can make your results inconsistent. I can wholeheartedly recommend this product.

Hario V60 works well, in fact I like it better than the Chemex filters and carafe. Kettles with gooseneck spout are recommended when making drip coffee, as they achieve an even flow of water and extraction. When such a kettle is not handy, a Hario 02 size filter with Drip Assist will achieve the same.

Ürün tasarımıyla basit bir plastik gibi gözükse de, pour over için inanılmaz güzel sonuçlar vermemi sağlıyor.
