simple to install, great piece of kit allowing my lights to come on at dusk and turn off after 2 hours, now 3 hours as the nights draw in....just set for as long as you want

Update: Only giving intermittent output during the past few weeks and now no output at all, whether on Auto or "0". Can't find the fault so probably component failure. Not impressed with the life of this product.It does it's job perfectly. I only use the automatic setting so it turns the garden lights on at dusk and off at dawn.

I have had one of these before as a replacement for our original timer. This last version lasted a year. However, I have ordered a replacement and the light sensor is faulty. Returned through amazon and asked for a replacement and the new replacement is also faulty. Power gets through as it works on the O setting. However, the daylight sensor does not work on any of the other settings. I’ve given up now and will go for a completely different make. Ridiculous.

Bought to replace our old lightsensor. Works OK but just be aware if you have on old Techmar system (We have had ours for about 13 years) you will have to cut off the additional lugs they have now fitted. Easily done but over the years they keep adding bits to the plug in sockets. I guess it's for safety reasons.

This product is advertised as being compatible with the Techmar lighting system. This is not the case as there are tabs on the plug to the transformer, making it incompatible. However, having sawed them off it fits fine. So in some ways it’s either 5 star as it works well once adapted or zero because it doesn’t fit out of the box.

I've had two of these, and neither of them lasted more than a year.

I have used this to replace a broken Micromark timer and it works well (after chopping out a redundant piece of plastic in between the two electric pins).
