ConeCracker, Nutcracker, red, Neue Version 2

This was purchased for my parents in law who are 88. Neither have great grip anymore but both have said that this was far the best nut cracker they have ever purchased themselves. They have given it a great thumbs up.

An ok nutcracker but you can’t crack pecans (unless you use a spoon handle to wedge the nut in place) as they shoot out of the top. I have joint pain in my hands and find some nuts hard to crack with this, but maybe I don’t have the strength? It’s easier for me to use than more conventional two piece metal “jaw” nutcrackers but not as efficient as I thought it would be. The plastic seems sturdy.

This was a very good nut cracker. My 6 year old son had no trouble cracking almonds and brazil nuts with it. It was a bit expensive for what it was, but it did work extremely well.Update: I tried to crack an almond, less than one year after purchasing the ConeCracker, and the ConeCracker cracked and is now useless (see photo).

Sceptical that this would work but so easy and fantastic to use on walnuts.

Easy to use but some nuts won't crack due to their shape not being grippable and pop out instead. Almonds are particularly tricky.

Started off well with hazelnuts but seemed too small for some almonds.Great idea, at a price, but when your left with a load of nuts it cannot grip, you end up disappointed.Still to try on other nuts but so disappointed I might not bother and just return it.

Best nutcracker I’ve ever owned.

I had one of the original Drosselmeyer nutcracker for many years (at an affordable price!) until the mechanism broke and was rather shocked to see the price of a replacement, so I decided to buy the cheaper version. The functionality - which I like and suits arthritic joints - is the same, but this version is far flimsier than the original. Not keen on the see-through plastic, but short of spending £40 odd pounds, will stick with this.
