Not Good
Product itself does not seems bad. But amz. ae classification has an error. I purchased two times the item and another brand with smaller capacity delivered. I will return to buy 35 liter which seems more durable. This one is able to cool up to -4 Celsius. but below this level seems impossible. I wait for hours but temperature did not dropped.

I looked at this Alpicool car refrigerator as a replacement for a cooler with ice during my annual road trip this year. After looking at the average cost of a 5-7 pound bag of ice, and considering how much ice I've gone through in a road trip during the past few years, I figured this refrigerator could "pay for itself" in just a few weeks. After receiving the item (it arrived on its side, and was packed upside down in the box!), I let it sit properly right-side up for about 12 hours. I plugged it in, set it to 37F on "HH" (non-eco mode) and "H3" (high), and it cooled down within 2-3 hours. Prior to loading it with drinks and some food, I cooled it down again, and set it at 35F, Eco and H3 for the bulk of the road trip. It did a great job of keeping food and drinks cold when it had power, and like a "regular" refrigerator, it did a decent enough job of functioning as a cooler when no power was available. I screwed up when ordering a backup power source to use with this when we were camping without electricity, so we needed it to work as a cooler then. I have since acquired a small AC/DC power bank (a 300W/288Wh one) that will power this. Overall, this is easy to use, lighter than it looks (and lighter than I thought it would be), and has good enough storage capacity (just remember that you can "pile" things up because of the way the lid is shaped. I look forward to using it on more trips in the future, and never having to worry about leaky coolers and constantly buying ice again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: There were great reviews on this as far as the noise level, space, temperature control. and the price point was very competitive. Value for money: Reasonably priced compared to other Storage capacity: 21 quart is spacious enough for our travel needs Power consumption: Low wattage and quiet motor Ease of use: Basically, it’s a plug-in play very simple Keeps things cold: The freezer is running at a -4 after 48 hours, internal temperature is 19°. It kept my frozen dog food frozen all this time but it took 24 hours to make ice cubes which actually have little air bubbles in them? The internal temperature does not reach zero but it is cold enough to keep frozen items frozen and if you give it enough time, it is cold enough to actually make ice. I actually purchased three of these, but returned the first two. The first one I ordered arrived on its side, despite explicit manufacturer instructions on the box that stated it was supposed to be shipped upright. It was in the Amazon box on its side. I let it sit for 24 /+ hours before plugging it in. Unfortunately, it never held a steady temperature so I returned it. When the second one arrived on its side, I immediately sent it back but then ordered the third one. That one also was shipped on its side, but I let it sit upright for 48 hours before plugging it in. It has now been running successfully off my household current for 48 hours and I am looking forward to seeing how it performs when we plug it into the cigarette lighter in the car. My recommendation would be if you want or need to freeze food it should be pre-frozen. So far it seems that this powerful little unit will do the job of maintaining frozen food very nicely. If you need to actually freeze food, it could take a while. As refrigerator and for my needs as a freezer to keep frozen dog food, frozen when I travel, this looks like it will fit the bill nicely. I gave it four stars instead of five just because of the initial experience and the slow process of making ice. All the other reviews were strong enough that I took the recommendation and researched a little more about letting the compressor sit in an upright position for a full 48 hours before trying to run it and it seems to be doing fine. The discrepancy between the settings and the actual internal temperature was somewhat confusing, but I used a refrigerator thermometer and did a test run making ice and putting pre-frozen food inside and so far, so good. My next test will be ice cream. 🤞

Why did you pick this product vs others?: A little smaller than I would like, but considering I try to hit more than one grocery store in a trip to get all the deals, this is super helpful with that. Even though I have a basic add ice or ice packs cooler, there are some items I prefer to have the extra safety of cooling with a power source, so it essentially lives in the trunk of my car. However I don't have an outlet of any kind back there. This isn't a big deal considering how long the power cord is. I use an old vacuum cleaner extension tube and stick it between the back seat cushions when I'm using it and run it to my car's dashboard easily. The cord doesn't get taught, even as the cooler shifts while driving. Would get 5 stars but had to take one off because it didn't come with the instruction manual it said it would. I found one online though, so I'm glad that was available.

I wish the green lid was completely flat all the way across the top of the unit, but other than that it has worked quite well for the 3 long car trips I've taken it on so far. Love that it turns off when the car ignition is turned off (so don't have to worry it will run down the car battery). The friendly beep it sends when the car is back on tells me that it is back in business and keeping the container cool. Don't have to get out, check the trunk, and make sure it is working again--nice.
