Solved my slow computer problem!!
My Dell laptop was running really slowly while plugged into the charger. I found that my old battery was dead (0% charge). The BIOS decided to run really slowly to use less power (even tho' it was plugged into the wall power). I took out the old battery. It was swollen (scary) and distorted. Replaced it with this and now my computer runs fast again!!!
