My cat’s favorite treat
Every morning before I leave the house, my cat eagerly waits in the kitchen for his daily Vital Essentials Minnow. It’s become our little ritual, and he absolutely looks forward to it. These treats are made from a single ingredient…whole freeze-dried minnows which means they’re free from fillers, grains, and artificial additives. I feel great knowing I’m giving him something natural and healthy. The treats are lightweight and not greasy, making them easy to handle. Plus, they don’t have a strong odor, which is a bonus for me. My cat loves the crunch, and I appreciate that they’re high in protein and support his overall health. It’s clear these are a hit in our household, and I’ll definitely continue to keep them stocked!

Smell Great, But My Weird Cat Won't Touch Them
I was excited to get these as I have never purchased treats for my boy. Don't worry, he gets fresh chicken and turkey... a treat in itself! I wanted something easy though and he likes canned fish flavor cat food. I opened the bag and, honestly, the fish smells awesome! It's a small bag, but there were quite a few in there and one treat day would last a couple of weeks or so. I held the open bag to my cat's nose and sniffed with curiosity. I picked up a minnow and held it out to him and he walked away. I set it on the floor. He couldn't care less. I laid it on top of his dry food. He won't eat the dry food now. At dinner time he practically attacked me begging for wet food. Sa la vie! Sometimes I wonder if I have a normal cat. My weird boy aside, I'd say give it a try. They really do smell very good and it's nice they are natural and have no colorings and flavorings. I'm honestly shocked my cat wouldn't eat them. I plan to try cutting a small piece for him and see if he'd try that. If not, there are plenty of ferals outside who will probably gobble them up.Update: Changing my 3 star rating to 5 stars. The cats outside went crazy for these! I had strays walking up and taking them right out of my hand. One cat tried to follow me back in the house excited for more and then sat outside looking in the window with puppy dog eyes hoping. Cats definitely love them! I just have a weird cat.

The Only Snack Worth meowing at 3AM For
Review by my cat (obviously)At first, I thought she was opening that drawer again. The one with betrayal (a.k.a. the flea comb). But then... a smell.A fishy, flaky, faintly magical smell. I leapt to the counter. I yowled. She pretended to read the label. And then... she gave me one.It was crunchy. It was whole. It stared into my soul as I devoured it.Glorious.Since then, my behavior has changed dramatically:I sit near the pantry like a gargoyle.I swat inferior snacks away.I’ve become a Minnow Snob. The Treats Themselves:100% minnow. No filler. No fluff. No lies.Freeze-dried to perfection, like the fancy human kale chips mom won’t share.Smells like dignity and danger.I eat them. Then I scream for more. Then I eat again.Final Thoughts:If your human truly loved you, they'd be feeding you minnows. If they’re not, I suggest knocking something off a high shelf and reevaluating your household power dynamics.

Great treats
Funny enough my three cats don’t like the treats. They think it’s a toy or something else. They sniff it and then walk away. I’ve even tried putting it in their dry food and wet food, but they won’t eat if I do that. My dog on the other hand loves them. Great nutritional treat for him and great for training. Literally a freeze dried treat. Easy to much on for the dog or just swallow like he does lol.

my picky old man LOVES these!
only treat my cat has ever gone crazy for and i feel even better feeding them to him knowing there's only one ingredient, freeze dried duck liver. this is the first treat i have found that i know i will have to keep stocked at the house lol. i love the smell, they smell exactly how you think they would. i have tried a piece, and it tasted exactly like how it should- like liver. cannot recommend enough to picky-cat owners as my kitty has never once turned down a piece. i do have to say though, i wish there was a bigger bag size available and i do wish the pieces were bigger. as you get towards the end of the bag there are lots of crumbles and dust, which is why i unfortunately cannot rate this product a 5/5 despite how much i love it. overall, great product.

Duck liver serving size (IMPORTANT)
I have bought the duck liver, minnows, and chicken hearts multiple times. My cats LOVE all three. And my girl cat is picky so that’s saying something. The only thing I would advise is to watch the amount of DUCK LIVER you are giving to your cat. Minnows and chicken hearts are fine for every day feeding (I use one of them at a time as toppers) but apparently everyday use for the duck liver is not really advised due to VITAMIN A TOXICITY. So, it’s better to use DUCK LIVER 1-3 times a week (1-2 cubes at a time) to avoid vitamin a buildup. I have been making that mistake that’s why I’m saying it here, because I know if you’re taking the time to buy natural cat treats for your baby you love your cat as much as I love mine and want them to be as healthy as possible!!!

Worth trying for any finicky cats so they stay interested in the food bowl
Got these for a senior cat who can be so finicky on food. So these really helped to get my 18 year old girl to stay interested and come back to the bowl. Trying to get more weight on her and finish food before it sits too long and she will refuse to eat it any further. Worth trying for your senior cats especially if they have any dental issues/missing teeth. These break easily to spread around the food.

Good Product. My cat preferred to play it though.
My cat wasnt Gaga over these. I don't think it's fair for me to give it a low rating because it is a good product. My cat more so played with it than thought of it as a treat.Tip: cut up some pieces and put in food so cat realizes it's food and not a toy. Then after that use them for treats.
