One of our ladder steps broke while a guest was using it. Thankfully, nobody was hurt despite the break leaving a dangerously sharp edge. We bought our home 9 years ago and the pool was installed by the previous owner 20 years ago. I don't know if the old ladder steps were original to the original installation or if they have been replaced before. These newer steps are a little thicker, deeper, and about 1 inch wider than my old diving well ladder steps. The depth of the steps allowed me to use a ratcheted wrench for the installation (the old steps did not offer as much clearance). They look great and feel sturdy. I would have purchased metal steps but I saw negative reviews related to rust and corrosion. I'm very pleased with the installation and first day of use!

We have Sylan vintage pool, circa 1971. The original steps on our ladder needed replacing. These are a perfect fit and easily installed. The steps are wider and have better tread than the original ones. Make sure to measure first: our steps are 18 inches. Highly recommend!

Just installed today. The bottom thread on the bolts was not perfect so putting on the nut a few times helps get the threads aligned ( particularly important if you are installing on a ladder already in the pool). Getting a ratchet with a 1/2” socket on the nut was a challenge with an in-pool install. If your ladder comes out easily, a dry land instal would be much easier. If your pool is deeper than you are tall, it will be easier if you put something in the pool to stand on. A milk crate was perfect for me. There was no flexing of the stairs when I used them so I am hopeful that they will be ok when the 300 pounders visit. Delivery was substandard. Perhaps related to the bad weather.

Surprised about how easy these were to install. I replaced our old cracked stairs with these and happy with the results. These are wide and durable. Would recommend.

Im writing this after a year of use and prior to opening for the upcoming season. Our old steps were beginning to disintegrate leaving a powdery film on the water surface. After visiting the local pool shops it became apparent how pricy replacing the steps would be. A quick Amazon search brought up these steps priced reasonably and well reviewed. After receiving them it was a surprise to see how thick the plastic steps were and how well ribbed for support the steps were. Included new stainless steel nuts and bolts were a pleasant surprise but the big test was would they distort the stainless steel tubing that affixed the stairs together. Nope. They were a perfect fit and no distortion of the tubes were noticed. After year 1 the steps remained unaffected by chlorine and other pool chemicals. A good buy these are.

Fits and works great. Good product

Steps seem ok. Hardware not so much. The M8 is undersized to the original 5/16’’; only 5 of the 6 bolts went through finishing: had to retap the 6th. Decided the shear strength would be better with original bolts so bought new nuts.
