Educational and Positive
We looked for a long time for a book with a positive view of autism and adhd following a recent family diagnosis. This was great for educating our children in a positive and exciting way

Beautifully written, accessible information
This is a lovely book for older children (KS3+) to read on their own or supported by an adult - familial or professional. Younger children (KS1 & 2) will gain a lot of information and understanding from this book too but I think assisted reading with an adult. This covers many of the different ways different people's brains work. It is really affirming and positively conveys what these different named 'conditions' are and how they affect people. This will promote good discussion and help young people to be open minded about how they can interact with people different to themselves. It really promotes different not disorder which is so important.

Informative, well written and appeals well to my 6 year old
I was looking for a good book to read with my 6 year old who was diagnosed with autism (high functioning Asperger’s). I only just told him he is on the spectrum and found it hard to find a book that will appeal to children but also be really informative. A lot of the ones out there didn’t seem to explain things well enough. He is showing a huge interest & enjoying it a lot so far.

Most positive book for children
I work in Children's Services and have to explain to parents how and why their child/ren are behaving in certain ways. Most of the time it is because they don't understand what is being said to them due to neurodiversity. This book covers a huge range of terms that we have heard of but don't know what they mean. It looks at them from a positive perspective so that people don't feel that they have a 'label'. I have read and researched a number of books over the years to try and help families but I would definitely recommend this one!
