I have nothing negative to say about this thing really. The aux out on my unit is a little wonky (only one cord I own works in it because of the spring inside) but that was probably my individual unit as no one else has mentioned it in there review. The device itself at the price is the best. If you were considering a Mars II by Anker don't do it to yourself- I bought the Mars first and sent it back. You can't cast to a Mars but you can cast to a MoGo (the difference is in the software). The Google TV is amazing and it operates very fast (for something so small you'll be impressed). Picture brightness and quality is very great for use in dark and dim environment. For outdoor use, the Sun doesn't have to be down, but an hour before sunset is essentially the earliest you'd use it (you just need to avoid direct light). The 1080p really makes a difference and it's a significant upgrade over any 720p projector. Anker has the best batteries, but it's not worth it to subject yourself to lower quality resolution for maybe 30 more minutes operating time. I wish it used USB-C charging, but it needs the adapter it comes with- you'll understand why when you turn it on for the first time. There's just no way a USB-C would work with the amazing speakers, and brightness of the projector, so all is forgiven. All in all I'm very satisfied with this, and Xgimi in general. I am, sadly though, going to return this projector- but I'm upgrading to the Xgimi Halo True for the 800ansi brightness. It arrived yesterday and has slightly louder speakers, but the brightness is superior (nearly 3 times as bright). I'm still leaving this review here because at the price range, there's 0 competition for the MoGo. If you got some extra money to throw around, upgrade to the Halo True (the Halo Plus IS slightly better with color quality because it has an HDR option, but for the price difference the True is by far the better value). Regardless, if you buy this unit you won't be disappointed, it is hands down the best portable projector in the 300-500 range with nothing coming close to the quality. Great battery, great sound, great picture quality, all around greatness.

This projector is the one to beat. it checks all the boxes that you would expect in a portable projector. Having owned other portable projectors this one is as close to perfect that I've seen. Picture quality is amazing 1080p, HDR and the colors on this projector make viewing enjoyable. Brightness is excellent for the size of the unit, cant get another projector thats brighter without going with a bigger projector. note when using anything besides the power supply that the projector comes with, the projector defaults to eco mode which is dimmer then full power, this can be disable in settings. The autofocus is pretty amazing on this projector, some of the other portable projectors that ive used that have auto focus do a decent job but tend to lose focus once the lens starts getting warm which then requires manually triggering autofocus again, but not this unit, on start up it autofocuses and doesnt lose focus and even if you move the projector it automatically autofocuses again, its awesome. Same thing with keystone correction, just point the projector where you would like to use as a screen and the projector does the rest, this is huge for a portable projector because this tends to be the most finicky part, not here point and enjoy. this projector runs android tv 11 which has all your streaming needs no complaints their, as for Netflix it can be easily sideloaded, in the box are the instructions and works very well. few notes, with an update the projector has been fixed from a bug that wouldnt let a 4k source (ex gaming console) project in HDR, it works now. and now for a few cons first is the control, even though its more then sufficient, the fit and finish feels a bit lacking and the ergonomics are not as i would hope, and the center button is flat instead of concave which makes it easier to distinguish the buttons in the dark without looking at the controller, kind of nitpicking but when you've used other well made and well designed controllers you notice the little things that make a differance. and last is android tv, even though it has android tv 11 which has everything you could want and need it would be nice to have the most modern and current operating system, android tv 13 if nothing else at least for futureproofing the device for a while. but honestly if you've been looking and comparing portable projectors, this one will not disappoint. it really is the best in its class, good job XGIMI.

**Final update** 10/22/2021 Item was replaced with a new one. Now, I can say, absolutely best projector I've ever owned. I now get almost 2 hours of battery life. Approximately 1.5 hours before the "Battery Low" signal and resulting lower brightness. The support team was very involved, however I did need to reach out to Amazon to get a replacement because of the limited time given to have it replaced. This really is a very nice projector. All of my comments below still apply, so keep that in mind. I'm not sure what changed, but the battery was definitely better, and I think there were some minor improvements in the OS that helped that as well. 09/21/2021 After a few weeks I can say the projector is beautiful. Crisp picture, easy to use, and the auto-focus and auto-keystone features are amazing. However, I can now say the battery is HORRIBLE. Using it nightly (I sit in my Jacuzzi and watch movies in the evenings) I only get an average of 46 minutes before the Battery Low comes up, causing the screen to go to half brightness. I am not using the speakers, and have the screen colors and brightness set to default settings, and I am using the HDMI input. Not using any wireless activities at all. 46 minutes is not acceptable. As nice as this projector is, do NOT get it if you are planning on using it on battery. Find something with a better battery life. If the company believes this review is incorrect, and the battery life is faulty, I'm more than happy to return this and try a new one. However, they have not made that an option at this time. I'm lowing the rating to a 2 star. If you can always plug this into a standard outlet (not running on usb power) it may be perfect for you. But for me, it just is not. **First Update** I received an email response in reference to my battery time. According to them, it should last 1.5 to 2 hours. I'm getting a little over 1, so please keep that in mind. At least they were fairly quick with the response. Everything else about this projector is as stated and it's a great little projector. For the price, however, I would think the battery should at least outlast one movie. I purchased and received the XGIMI MoGo Pro Portable Projector from Amazon on Friday, 08/27/2021. I charged it throughout the day and tried it on Saturday evening. Using standard default resolution and color/brightness settings, I got one hour 10 minutes of usage before the "Low Battery" started flashing at the bottom of the screen. I plugged it in and finished the movie. I charged it overnight and throughout Sunday as well and tried it again Sunday evening. I got one hour 5 minutes before the low battery warning. Again, default settings, using HDMI direct connection, not streaming using WiFi, and connecting my tablet to a blutooth speaker so as to not drain the projector battery on speaker usage . Directly connected through HDMI to my tablet. For $600, I would expect a portable projector to at least last the average time of 1 1/2 hours for a movie. Did I receive a defective item or is the expected battery life only about an hour? It is a very nice projector and want to keep it, however, it needs to last at least 2 hours on battery. Other than this, the thing is pretty nice. Bright enough and actually sounds great. And the keystone adjustments are perfection. I'll update more once I've received a response from the support department of Xgimi.

This is my third XGIMI projector purchased this year. I use it primarily to play nature videos and some movies while I work, using an XGIMI Elfin as an external computer monitor. The XGIMI Mogo 2 Pro is very colorful and produces a sharp image with any need for manual attention, unlike some other projectors in this price class (I'm lookin' at you, Samsung Freestyle). The Mogo 2 Pro is very versatile in that it can serve as an affordable native-1080p projector indoors and can easily be used outside. I think XGIMI made the smart move by leaving out the battery, giving people the option to run extension cords or use power banks or portable power stations. For its size, the speakers are outstanding. Live TV content comes across loud, but some movies, especially older ones, can be much softer in volume. This is just how content is handled by movie studios, going for the quiet-loud dynamics. It would be helpful to have a setting for volume boosting or, even better, volume normalization. Performance when switching between apps can be a bit slow, but it's not a dealbreaker. The picture is outstanding, and this can be used adequately in bright rooms at 20 to maybe 30 inches. In the dark, you'll have no trouble going 80 to 100 or even more inches. A projector renaissance is happening, and projectors are going to become the go-tos over TVs because these lifestyle projectors that market leaders such as XGIMI are releasing are making it so easy to have a TV anywhere you go. :)

I got this projector yesterday and I was really excited to use it, but that quickly turned to frustration. There are two main issues with the software 1. You can't install Netflix directly from the Google Play Store, it is incompatible with this device. It sounds like the issue is a licensing problem with Netflix that XGIMI are trying to resolve, so maybe we'll get a fix for this in a future update. So, users are asked to download a third party app that installs a different build of the apk that works with the device. Doing this got me into Netflix, but the cursor would randomly stop responding when trying to scroll through the menus, but I could still select the item I was on. So, with that in mind, we decided to try watching Hulu. Which brings us to 2. Hulu video freezes up every 10 seconds or so. The audio will continue to play, but the video will freeze for a few seconds, then it would catch up to the audio again, play normally for a few seconds, and then the video would freeze and repeat this process. Looking through some of the other comments I see this is a common problem for a few other users as well. SO, with those two options out of the picture, we tried using VLC Media Player to stream a movie I have on a network drive and this worked perfectly. The picture quality looks incredible, especially compared to the RIF6 Cube I had been using up until this point. The Harmon Kardon speaker was loud enough that we didn't need to use an external speaker, though I don't think it would hold up in a larger group setting. The remote is nice and easy to use, and it uses bluetooth so you don't have to actually point it at the projector for it to work. TL:DR - The hardware of the projector is solid and the picture quality is outstanding, but the software leaves a lot to be desired. Netflix and Hulu will give you issues if playing directly on the device, but it seems like all my problems will be remedied by simply plugging in a Chromecast and streaming through that instead.

Having used this projector for around 2 days, I will say that it's a big upgrade compared to my last projector (the Apeman M4). I have done a lot of projector research between XGimi, Nebula, ViewSonic and a couple others. I only got the XGimi because it was the first one to go on sale, otherwise I would have gone with Nebula. I was surprised the amount of customization with this projector! I didn't expect to be able to change the brightness ranging from 10% - 100%. I was even more blown away when I discovered that this projector had digital zoom - a feature that wasn't advertised anywhere I searched for information for the projectors. Overall, everything seems to be improved compared to my last projector. The colors are nice, the speakers seem loud, the fan is relatively quiet, it's simply a big upgrade between a basic projector and a smart projector. Even at the lowest brightness from the XGimi Mogo Pro, it still seems to beat out the Apeman M4. I use the projector with the included remote and / or my phone with the "Android TV" app. I got around 3 hours of battery life on "Battery Saving Mode." I think that I'll default with 40% brightness since 40% is good enough to beat out the rooms light. All being said, there are some things that could be better. First, I wish there were more controls on the projector itself so you can control everything on the projector. As it is, you can only control "Volume Down/Up", and the "Play/Pause" on the projector itself. I prefer to not fully rely on a remote to control the projector, but it's fine as it is. The "Setting" to navigate to "Brightness" not only confuses me a bit, but it also interrupts the media that I'm interacting with. You can change "Image Settings" while media plays, but it's paused when changing the "Brightness." The last two isn't about the projector itself - and it's easily fixable, - but they're still a bit annoying. Due to the form factor, the proctor will tumble over if placed on the bed. This could be fixed with a tripod. Even so, my tripod isn't that good (will replace it soon), but it's worth to mention since a steady surface will prove to me necessary to keep the image in place. Lastly, there is a button on the remote control (between the Power button and Google Assistant), the button has three lines and in the instruction Manuel says that it's the "Menu Key," but I have yet to figure out what it does. Hasn't really done anything on both Media and the Home screen, so I'll have to figure that out. Despite my complaints, why do I give it 5 stars. Although there are some annoying aspects about with the projector, those aspects aren't enough to spoil my needs for a portable projector. There may be other projectors that may perform better or offer more than the XGimi MoGo Pro, but how I see it, it's a pretty great upgrade from my last projector that blow away some of my expectation. I'm just glade that the projector delivers onto my needs. I will wonder how the Nebula Mars 2 Pro would have compared, but I don't regret purchasing this as my 2nd projector.

For what it's worth, this projector was great - when it actually worked. The picture was surprisingly clear and sharp for the small size of the device. It's not bright - this definitely won't work well in a room with any significant lighting - but in a dark room the picture is excellent. The speakers are mediocre at best but passable as long as you're in a somewhat quiet environment. I'd recommend using a separate portable speaker with an AUX cable if you want some real sound. That's about all I can say for the good. The bad: 1) Not the seller's fault, but the package was delivered to the wrong address a block over. That already started this whole experience on the wrong foot. 2) Despite buying a new unit, the unit I was received was very clearly used. All of the packaging was torn up and opened and a Google account was already signed into the device. Not terrible, I guess, except for the fact that the lamp isn't replaceable and the battery life was probably shortened by some unknown amount of time. The unit I received was manufactured in April 2021 and the last sign-in on the Google account that was linked to the device in November 2021. I ordered this device in April 2022, so I assume that means I had a device that probably wasn't put into the "battery saving" mode sitting somewhere in a warehouse for 5 months. 3) I can't get the damn thing to work. The manual includes no actual troubleshooting steps and I can't find any information on troubleshooting online. The projector doesn't seem to charge, but even when plugged in it won't turn on despite using the included DC adapter: the LED simply remains red and turns to a blinking orange when I try to turn it in. I've had it plugged in for a couple of hours at this point with no progress. There's no ability to factory reset the device from what I can tell. For $500, totally unacceptable experience. Instant return and won't buy from this brand again. ========= UPDATE: Contrary to my initial review above, I ended up requesting a replacement device to see if my experience with the first unit was unusual. The second device I received was also very clearly used with another Google account already signed into the device. The second unit also included a remote that wasn't the remote that was supposed to come with the device (???) - good thing I kept the first unit until I received the second since I simply paired the remote I had from the first unit. Unlike the first unit, the second unit seemed to charge and function correctly, and I didn't have any issues with the unit seemingly dying after being turned on initially. As with the first unit, the picture was quite clear, the autofocus feature was excellent (why doesn't every projector include this?!), and the speakers were mediocre. I ultimately ended up returning the second unit as well - the whole experience with this projector just left a sour taste in my mouth that made me irritated considering the $500 price point. As I mentioned in my initial review, I definitely won't be buying from this brand again despite the quality of the hardware - assuming it works. Buyer beware - be ready for a return in case you get a crappy unit.

This is my first projector and I am very pleased with it. For movies, it does struggle in daylight, but works perfectly fine at dusk and later. With bright colors such as white, it honestly works perfectly fine in daylight. Sound - very good, clear sound, not bass heavy or muddy. It’s not super loud though and it will depend on how the sound was made for what you’re playing. I had no trouble listening in a small room and a larger open room. My preference is to wear headphones to block out ambient noise and I was able to pair mine successfully. No problems watching Amazon movies, YouTube and AppleTV. It was a little bugging signing into my accounts, it just needs time to fully sync. The only issue I have is that Amazon movies are mainly widescreen, so much of the potential screen area is lost. And the image sits within a “frame”, so on widescreen this is pretty noticeable at first. I imagine this issue would happen with any projector. Note that the projector is not adjustable, it just sits flat. There is a separate adjustable stand from Xgimi. On this note, keystone works best on a flat surface, I tried using a tripod but I guess it wasn’t even and I couldn’t get keystone to adjust properly. Overall, I’m glad I got this one. The price was just over $500 incl tax. I was debating getting the LG cinebeam for airplay, but airplay is not necessary for watching movies. The Xgimi uses chromecast/google and this works perfectly fine, since I’m able to log into everything from the projector. I was also able to cast the NFL app from my iPad, it popped up automatically when I had the Xgimi and iPad app open.
