This is a very nice book of basic skills. Unfortunately, as a baking book addict, I already have many other baking books that contain the same information. However, it is still a very nice book with detailed instructions and photos.

I have followed Georgia for several years and used her you tube videos but never been able to master Swiss meringue buttercream. I bought her book and with the easy to follow pictures and descriptions, I made the buttercream on the first attempt. Discovered that the mixer bowl had to be completely cold before you added the butter. So happy to have finally made a cake like hers. Just need to perfect the smoothness of the icing on the cake but in the book she very kindly says that it takes years to master!! If you want to make celebration cakes for your family or friends, this is the book for you!

I had been watching Georgia online for a while before I bought her book and I had tried a lot of her recipes.But to have everything together so well explained is awesome. I love that everything is broken down into steps with accompanying photos.I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to be able to bake nice cakes.
