First off, based on some reviews of this product, I took a chance that it would house my Blackmagic (BMD) Video Assist - specifically the 5" 12G model. Now, this is a snug fit for just the monitor, but if you use the Smallrig monitor cage (and most likely any other cage), it is a little too small by just a matter of millimetres.However, it is a nice little case for smaller accessories. I haven't marked it down because it doesn't suit my particular needs though. The word 'shell' does indeed describe this well, but even still it doesn't feel as rigid as other 'shells' available on Amazon. Moreover, while the inside is soft, there is little in the way of padding/cushioning. I don't own a GPS device, so don't know how robust there are, but I imagine that the shell won't do much if you dropped it, fully loaded, on a corner.There is a 'pocket' for cables, although there is not barrier between that and what would presumably be the front of the GPS device. (Of course, that should be clear from the product pictures - it's just that holding this case in my hand brings it home how little study protection it offers.)Overall, it's a nice little organiser - and was great to chuck in a lot of the bits and bobs that a modern camera rig could beg for. However, for the price, I would recommend you look at other products (particularly for padding).
