Musgrave Ceres Premium #2 USA Made Presharpened pencils, 48 pencils

I have a strange fascination with pencils.I just simply grew up with them and I continue to use them today.I’m old Fashion. I enjoy writing with tools called writing instruments!I like using my hand and all of its little muscles with pencils as opposed to that of pressing a finger lightly on a screen.No problem with the screen! Mind you.I’m only using it now to explain my opinion on the debate of If writing is dying or dead?I think writing is definitely dying.I think that’s okay.Is what it is.But if you’re like me. That is if you like to write. With Pencil.Than I say these are really good pencils!Seriously.Nice deep school bus yellow. Lots of cool looking black text. Good strong. Almost painful hexagon edges. And a classic red f****** eraser.Yeahhhh!The pencils of pencils.And made in the United states of America.

I'm a big collector of pencils, and have about 30 different ones in my pencil cup at work for notes or planning. Lately I've found I only will grab the Ceres, because it's what I expect out of a pencil. Sharpens like a dream in a battery or long-point sharpener, bonded lead means if it breaks in the barrel I won't lose much, and the writing balances feedback and smoothness.Nowadays pencils are all made on lowest-cost basis and it shows. Ticonderogas can't even hold their own against the indian made walmart pen+gear pencils anymore (make sure they're from India and they're amazing too). But the Ceres is exactly what a nice pencil should be and has even replaced the Mitsubishi 9850 and Tombow 2558 as my daily pencil.Can't talk highly of these pencils enough. I bought a 48 pack, and after writing for a day bought another 36 just to be safe. Get some you won't regret it.

WOW, what a dream! I didn't realize how poor pencils had gotten in recent years until I just had to do a big job requiring waaaay too many horrible pencils of other name brands (including the big Ticonderoga!)! Seems nearly ALL pencils are made in China and other lowest-bidder outposts, and are now *TOTAL* crap. THESE ARE A DREAM! They glide, they don't wear down too fast, they sharpen easily and smoothly, they erase easily, exactly what they should be --We shouldn't have to think about pencils, such a longs-standing invention! But most pencils these days are junk, whether name brand or store brand -- I know because before ordering these I went through a huge bag of hundreds of pencils my kids wanted to throw out. I had saved them thinking why are they throwing all these out? Did I ever discover why. They were almost useless, requiring an entire pencil sharpening to write sometimes only the value of one page of print! I scraped through the entire bag of hundreds of other-brand pencils looking for a decent pencil and did not find a single one! They dragged on the page, they sharpened and broke in sharpening, they sharpened with splinters, the lead fell out, the erasers were worthless for many, and on and on!These Musgrave bring back quality, old fashioned true honest to goodness quality, while providing jobs. Who knew I'd write such a long pencil review. Let's stand for quality once again! Quality lasts and is actually less expensive when in use! Three cheers to Musgrave!!!

Came in 2 boxes of six bags with 12 pencils each. None was broken, all were sharpened. Writes with a thick, dark line. Eraser decent quality.

Using this, one finally notices just how complacent we have become as consumers. The difference in quality by comparison with other mass manufactured pencils is astronomic. To boot, the price point is fantastic for how many you get -- especially considering how durable they are.

These are great pencils. Buy them! There's no comparison between these and the imports, including the imports with "big brand" names, that are also now mostly junk. These pencils are the real deal. They sharpen to a fine point, without the lead breaking or the wood splintering. They write smoothly. It takes abnormal pressure to break the lead. The erasers actually work, instead of just creating a smear. If you use pencils a lot, as I do, you will be glad to have these.

I have a weakness for fine pencils, and these are very fine. I'd buy again...and will.

These are the best pencils you can buy. I wish these were sold in local stores here in Texas, because no one would buy any other brand of pencil if they were.
