Miniart 1:16 Scale French Cuirassier Napoleonic Wars Plastic Model Kit

The model looks great when finished but the horse needed a lot of work before it would fit together as it should. and the reins had to be cut from a sheet of plastic and glued to the various strap locations. I thought of returning the item for a refund but took up the challenge to make a silk purse out of a pigs ear.

Not up the usual minaret standards horse didn't go together well took a lot of work to get any kind of decent fit. No reigns or straps for styrups dissapointing when compaired to other miniart models

Unless you know how to make horse reins from scratch I'd suggest you pass on this kit. The pictures of the completed kit on the product details leads you to believe it has parts to make the reins - it doesn't, and a base - it doesn't! My finished kit looks stupid! Add to that the usual miniart issue of poorly fitting parts - if I could give 0 stars I would!

Bought this to only find it doesn't have a stand ,decals or most important reins which are clearly shown in picture coupled with badly fitting parts makes this one to avoid unless your handy at making your own missing parts way over priced would have returned only was half built before i noticed ..

You have to careful buying kits from Miniart, as design, fit of parts, accuracy and detail vary widely across their ranges.This one, however is a safe buy. It has horse furniture (some don't in the range) and good detail. It will be a challenge to get the horse painted right in this scale, but I am delighted with my purchase and this is definitely in my modelling queue!
