Awesome!
Bought this as a Christmas gift for the kids- it’s been on their wish list for a few years now and they are still playing with it in March! The kids love playing the games and using the interactive part to learn about different countries. My only regret is not buying it sooner!

Great product, despite some negative reviews out there.
This project has a strange mixing of extreme positive and negative reviews, particularly recently. Now, some of those negative reviews are due to people who are complaining without buying it because they say the earth is flat... so if that's your viewpoint, let's just say you shouldn't buy a globe but shouldn't be reviewing one either. Go review a map or something. But those aside, there are still some really negative reviews, which sometimes makes me skeptical of whether the positive reviews are real or if those people got it for free, etc.As a result, I was skeptical when I bought this, but my verdict is that I love it. And more importantly, our 6 year old daughter does. I know several reviewers have complained about the buggy app, so I think it may not work on as many different phones and operating systems as Shifu claims. I know I tried to install it on my daughter's "phone" (and yes, my 6 year old daughter has a phone but it's our old iPhone 6 with the SIM card removed that just has music and education apps installed on it), the app did NOT work correctly, even though the phone is running the current iOS version. However, I put it on my iPhone 8 and had NO issues finding it, installing it or using it. Considering our 6 year old can and does use my phone by herself to use and learn about various places around the globe, it seems to be designed to work pretty easily for most people. So I highly recommend it. I was a little skeptical about the whole "globe with no countries" thing that I've also seen some people complain about. I'm definitely not into new-age education (in fact I'm a college business professor), but I don't have a problem with it. I think the globe would be too busy if it had all the country lines AND the pictures on it designed to captivate kids attention. And when you use the app to learn about a place, you can see country flags and whatnot. Maybe in a future version it can show you the country boundaries if you want to see them, which would be nice.

Great globe/app, but politicized maps, inconsistency
The globe and app are great conceptually together. My toddler loves reading the little animal, cultural, maps trivia that magically pop up in the app. However, there’s a few things that mildly annoy me about this product.First, I am annoyed the maps cater to certain political sensitivities, such as including Mongolia (not Inner Mongolia) and Taiwan as part of mainland China.I’m also mildly annoyed that lining up the points on the physical globe with the iPad camera isn’t consistent. If there’s insufficient lighting (slightly too dark) or too much lighting (glare), the app can’t figure out what you are trying to view.Lastly, we enjoy the quiz section of the app. However, the answers are sometimes inconsistent with what the voice says, or what the text says. For example, Nigeria has 520 spoken languages (text), but the voice says 250.

Brilliant learning gift.
I bought this for my grandkids as a Christmas gift and it is a very nice way to get them interested in learning. Very happy with purchase and will order future products. Highly recommend this for early school ages.

I wanted so badly for this to work...
The media could not be loaded. I saw this and got it for my son. He has Down Syndrome ,and since he was about 3 he has been interested in stories about places animals, foods, asking me if I've been here or there before, etc ..When he got older (13) He began to get extremely shy, afraid of things and rocking, almost all the time. We were told they didn't know what it was, but a doctor in the ER told told us he believed it was autism but that no one wanted to name it because "Downs kids can't get autism" It took 2 years for me to get that diagnosis and then no one wanted to treat it. His little world closed up but his sister and I were fighting to stop it. We filled his room with color, soothing sound and stories 5 times a day. Changed his diet to no dyes and no artificial flavors, sweeteners. His favorite item was his globe. We'd spin it,have him stop it and touch a place for a story. When I saw this I KNEW he would love it. We got him the newest Amazon 10"+ tablet and this along with a stories from around the world book. On the day after Christmas( also HIS birthday) we opened this up,set it up and put the app on his new device and my S22+ phone. He was so excited to be able to look this up on his own and hear the information. He was able to get it going, but every time he'd get the star in focus to choose the topic to hear about,it would stop working. I watched him become discouraged and then tell me he couldn't make it work after trying so hard. I told him I thought it was the globe, not him and that we'd figure it out. I tried as well ,and tried for over an hour for 6 days straight. Nothing. We were unable to keep focus on the star point on the globe for more than 5-7 SECONDS. I don't know if this one is DEFECTIVE or what, but I tried it alone, while he was asleep and it DOES NOT WORK.ITS HEARTBREAKING that one of his great interests can not be pursued by him. This was such a great idea carried out in poor form.I don't want to do anything more than get hold of the CREATOR of this item to see if they have a remedy. If not. This is of no value and I want our money back. They obviously KNOW there is a defect and it should be corrected in their app or by PROVIDING A SET OF STAR STICKERS that the APP CAN ACTUALLY READ !

Great gift!
My 7 year old grandchild has had fun learning about the world and using the globe. She seems proud as she tells me what she learned.
