PILOTHi-Tec-C Maica Gel Ballpoint Pen, Violet, Fine (LHM-15C4-V)

I did not not receive a hi tec c but a 'G tec' so am a bit cross at that. Japan still makes hi tec c pens with aluminium pen cases for it all over kickstarter. That piqued my interest and think it's not cool to sell it as a Hi tec when it's a g tech. I don't know what the difference is, but bloggers love the hi tec version, which is why I bought this. Unfortunately, It's a bit scratchy and too thin. I think I'll prefer a pen with more substance, definitely more smooth. Looks-wise, it's great. Really nice looking pen, but I was disappointed in the writing.. Glad I didn't go for .3 nib. . I love gel ink pens that are smooth with a bite, like uniball. I was hoping to love this Pen then get the set, but I won't now. :0(

The pen writes in a fine, violet ink. It's good for my small, spidery writing, and for such a fine writer, it writes really smoothly. But with it's needle point (it's truly fine), and probably on rough paper, it might not be the best use of your time. If you're one for medium inks, this might be too fine for you.

I already had a Maica in brown and really like it so as Blue Black is a favourite ink colour I wanted this version. Sadly it does have a slight tendancy to foul up at the tip unlike the brown model and reguler Hi-Tec-C pens. Not unusable but loses a star because of that.However I do like the Maica barrel design and the cute little 'jewel' mounted in the cap. It hasa loop to hang charms off (this model is primarily marketed towards women in Japan). And when it works okay the colour is nice.

The colour of the pen is not brown... it’s more red coming. I was expecting something much better than this!

The ink is free flowing from a really fine nib. Almost needle point, I'll say. The ink itself is a clear sky blue. The only drawback to this pen is that it has no clip on for your shirts, lapel. Oh, well.

Used to buy the PILOT G-TEC C4 pens in brown but can't seem to get hold of these now. This is same colour and looks like it uses the same refill so, same pen really. Think I prefer the more industrial design of the old C4 but hey-ho things move on.

Quality Pilot gel ink pens, giving a consistently smooth 0.4mm line with no blotching or skipping at all. These contain a rich caramel ink that is a classy alternative to blue or black for general writing, or of course for drawing withDelighted with these and willl definitely order more

I'm more than happy with this lovely writing pen. It looks great and it writes great, with a smooth, non scratchy ink flow in a gorgeous shade of brown. What's not to love? Will definitely buy more of these.
