Very informative, easy to digest and it focused on the key aspects for current and aspiring risk professionals. As someone who has been in risk management for over 10 yrs now, I found it to be a reinforcement of things I've previously learned, but also educational as there were some new perspectives introduced as well. It has infused me with a renewed sense of creativity on ways to approach to my role in order to be even more effective.

Nice starter book about the importantance of the job.

The author knows what she's talking about. Very helpful to anybody in that field.Excellent examples offered to guide The professional. Research obviously current.

How To Be A Chief Risk Officer is the primer that every new or aspiring Chief Risk Officer needs in order to understand and grow into the many facets of the job.

This is a role that is sometimes misunderstood..some think it involves pointing out what is wrong but there is a statement near end of book where the author points out that cro is a business partner who gives path ways of how a venture can be achieved by say mitigating against certain risks..He or she will determine if venture fits risk appetite of institution.

Although I do not work in the risk department, I work with these individuals on many projects. I happen to be in the third category of the authors target audience, in that I would rather do a better more complete job with risk in mind to limit future headaches. The book covers so much in a profession that is really still up and coming. I loved the change in thought that the author suggested, which makes risk analysis more exciting and less of a drag - it’s not “we can’t”, it’s “we can if…”. Great read that I can apply to my current role immediately.
