Q: Does it have a smell?

Very VERY faint, barely there, nutty smell! I am super sensitive to strong smells and avoid them at all times. I stopped purchasing others because they began to arrive with a very strong off putting smell with harsh chemical undertones!

Q: How do you melt this? Any recipes?

I melt mine in a plastic quart container in the microwave (along with cocoa butter disks and coconut oil). When I didn’t have access to a microwave, I placed the quantity I needed in jars and gently heated the jar, using low heat, in a saucepan on the stove until it was nearly completely melted. A gentle stir always melted any remaining softened solids. Hope this helps.

Q: Is this yellow shea butter mixed with palm oil to have this Color ?

No. This shea butter is 100% pure white. There’s nothing added. Besides, the palm oil I’m familiar with has a very distinct red color.

Q: Description says organic; label as pictured does not. Can anyone confirm if it is certified as organic?

It is organic. My family brings home Shea butter from Ghana and Gambia often and we order this when we run out. It is definitely the same.
