MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2013 Plus

This software does what it's supposed to do. I've used it to edit AVCHD video from my HD camcorder. Generally, it handled the task well. There was one segment that I couldn't get to abut the preceding segment without a small gap, no matter what I did. But I wouldn't rule out some error on my part as the issue. Sliding the thw two segments together either resulted in their overlapping (cross-fade) or in the second segment repositioning itself slightly non-adjacent to the first (pushing away like trying to align the North poles of two magnets to each other). I worked around it but never really found a way to fix it. All other segment pairs align properly, which is why I suspect that I may have inadvertently done something to cause this problem. The other peculiarity I've noticed on Windows 7 is that sometimes after terminating the program, it displays a message that it is restarting and it does, in fact restart on its own. Strange.But other than those glitches (one of which, as I said, may be the result of something I did without realizing it), the program works well, renders the video in a reasonable amount of time and has a decent-looking, understandable interface.

Well, it's not Adobe Photoshop but it's a darn good editor (I only use the edit function, not the organizer, etc). It has a very goodassortment of tools and brushes and shapes. The work area is easy to get used to and can easily be re-arranged to suit yourpersonal taste.The new selection tools are excellent and can save you a great deal of time if you need to select a well defined area of your imageto work on.The only things I have reservations about are the color pallet and brushes. The reds in the color pallet are not pure enough (theylean toward orange in the brighter range and muddy browns in the darker range). I find that when working on 'low resolution' images (96 dpi or less) the brushes aren't as smooth and clean as Photoshop brushes (e.g. eraser can leave slightly rough edges).OVERALL, an excellent photo / image editing tool that I'd recommend, even to beginners..BTW - Just as a point of reference, I've been a photographer for over 40 years and whether I'm touching up old slides I've scanned or new photos from my digital Nikons, this software does what I need it to do.

Nowadays it's hard to find video editing software that has all these three qualities, but I think I found it in MAGIX 2013. Windows Live Movie Maker was too bare bones and I had a lot of stability issues with Sony Vegas (consumer level). For this price point I am impressed with what it can offer. Powerful but not intimidating. Video tutorials and support were also very helpful. Didn't give five stars b/c didn't make full use of software, but so far so good.

C class item for the price but it came quick so the seller gets the stars

I had been using Magix movie edit version 17. The new movie edit pro 2013 shows promise but is buggy, a update version was downloaded and installed and it too was buggy. So far the program has crashed a total of 8 times!

Not bad software for editing. There's better, but it'll be alot more expensive. This will work for most semi pro video editor's .

it is a good video editor, but almost the same as previous version movie edit pro 17 plus hd for me.
