Worked well
Not the highest quality, but does exactly what it means to and handled the job I had for it (marine 4 cyl. engine)

Decent valve spring compressor , Harley Davidson Big Twin Repair...
Tool worked like it should... I did fabricate a Shoe/Foot for the screw out of 1/2'' neoprene , to avoid scarring the valve...and I welded a 7/16'' nut where the slide handle goes to assist in tightening the screw..."TIP"1,) install on valve spring , tighten 1 full turn past snug , Tap spring with rubber hammer/mallet "LIGHTLY"2.) tighten 1 more full turn and strike spring with rubber mallet...3.) keep proceeding until spring is collapsed enough to remove locking collar's...This tip helped me out , and made the process that much easier...

Great for the price!
Not the sturdiest valve spring compressor I've used, it could use a longer handle for more leverage as well. That being said, for the price its a great little tool and had no issues handling the valve springs on my Land Rover Discovery V8. I do suggest using a piece of rubber or a rag in between the cup and the valve to avoid marring.

Not worth it, JUNK !!!!
The only reason I give this product one star is because there is nothing below one star. The metal on this spring compressor is so soft you can bend it with your bare hands which is what you will do a lot of because it easily distorts. Managed to get one valve compressed before it fell apart and the adjustment ( bolt with wing nut) on the valve spring end bowed and spread. Also the cup on the valve side that goes against the valve just popped off, was poorly attached. I was going to send the compressor back for a refund but decided to keep it in my shop hanging on the wall to remind me never to try and save a buck on cheap crap. Save your money this tool is surely not worth the trouble.

Works great. lever could be longer
Used on a set of sbc heads. Works good. The tool is on the lighter side and the lever could be a bit longer as it’s hard to compress the heavier springs but is still doable.

Once it showed up I easily extracted all of my valves
Tried using a pair of 8" C clamps together and some extreme attention to detail and careful placement and manipulation to remove some valves from a couple CX500 heads... one went really well, the second... a valve spring retainer shot across the garage and into another dimension. I spent an hour and a half straight looking for this half-dollar sized piece of metal before jumping on amazon, ordering a new one, and a real valve spring compressor.Once it showed up I easily extracted all of my valves, lost no other part, it was easy, I love this thing.

light duty
This spring compressor may work fine in typical applications, but didn't have the strength to release caps that have been stuck on by time and varnish. It just twisted, so I welded some rebar on the inside & out side of the 'C'. Then the forks slipped around the cap, so I welded flanges on the sides to make them stronger. When that didn't work I made one out of 1"x 1/8" square tubing - it worked.

Removed each valve in less than a minute
Great value for money. I used this to remove the valves on a Kohler K321 tractor engine. It is well made and adjustable to suit a wide range of spring sizes. Very good value for money. Once it had dialed in the size of the bottom spring retainer, it took less than a minute to remove each valve.
