Fantastic ! Quality henna and caring customer follow up. Can’t fault!
This was my first time ever, using henna. I’ve spent decades colouring my hair mostly lightest blond and burning my scalp in the process. The last time I did my roots I swore it was the ‘last time’ sitting there with my scalp stinging and burning.I spent a month or so researching henna and it’s many benefits and decided this was the way forward to blend in my greys and give me a more natural look that is fitting for my age (50) After looking at many reviews decided to get this brand as it had such good feedback. I did my first henna treatment yesterday and here is my review...........I mixed 100g of henna with some hot camomile tea (not boiling hot) and juice of a whole lemon. I Mixed to a thick yoghurt consistency. I covered this with a lid ( Glass Pyrex bowl) and let it develop over night. The next morning I mixed 100g of Cassia and 2 tablespoons of Amla into the henna with a bit more camomile tea and recovered with lid. I left this for one more hour and then was ready to use it. I wet my hair and lightly towelled the excess water off before applying by hand with some plastic gloves on. Because the consistency was thick it was super easy to apply and I thoroughly covered my whole head of hair within a few minutes. I ensured it was well massaged into every bit of hair and scalp. I piled my hair up and then covered it all with cling film. There was virtually no mess and I couldn’t believe how easy and un messy it was having seen many videos of super messy henna jobs! Just a couple of little splodges on the sink that wiped straight up and a little bit on my forehead.I left the henna mix on for 5 hours. It does drip and seep from the cling film a bit as it gets warm so put an old black top on and an old towel round your neck!Rinsing out was as easy as rinsing any colour from your hair and I shampooed and conditioned afterwards. My hair did feel a little dry and course afterwards and I needed a bit more conditioner to get the shower comb through it.Today my originally coloured very light golden blond hair is almost neon orange but super shiny. I know this will oxidise and mellow in the next few days and I’m hoping I’ll get to a strawberry blond/copper tone and more natural look.I watched a tonne of videos before venturing into henna and got my Henna/Cassia/Amla recipe from one of these. Cassia gives a yellow tone to henna and Amla cools the red and makes it less vibrant and more copper. The total dry mixture quantity I used was just over 200g and this was more than enough for my long (below boobs) length hair. The quality of this product is beautiful and not at all gritty or lumpy when mixed which makes it a dream to put onto the hair without the mess. Every henna journey is unique to the individual, your hair colour, quality, and how and what you mix it with will give you your individual unique colour. If you go into this process aware of this and willing to experiment and tweak to get your perfect shade then you will never go back to damaging harsh harmful chemical dyes and processing. It’s a journey and I’m having fun experimenting until I find my perfect recipe and shade. I know I can do this all over again tomorrow if I want and my hair will only thank me for it as it is super conditioning. The shine is truly beautiful. My hair still smells a bit like a wet hay bale at the moment but this will go with another wash or two.The follow up and customer care from this company is fantastic and the quality seems superior. Vacuum packed and dated packets.Clear instructions and aftercare via a courtesy email offering advice if needed.I will be a returning customer as I can’t find a single fault and won’t purchase from anywhere else now I’ve found a trusted henna company.

Top Quality product
I have used other branded neutral henna powder before, but this is my first time using Davis Finest Cassia powder. The difference is obvious from the outset. The packaging, branding and the quality of the Cassia dry powder is noticeably superior. It is of a finer quality, perhaps through sifting. During the mixing and application process I noticed a glossy sheen and the texture of the mix was appealing. Unlike other powders, the Cassia from Davis Finest was a pleasure to apply (no lumps flying about the bathroom) and was really easy to distribute throughout my hair (rather than simply caking on the top most layer of hair)! Rinsing seemed to take no time at all and the results are excellent for a first time use. I left the mix on for just over an hour and I'm very pleased with the tone it's given to the lighter portion of my hair (ok, grey/white roots) which is a natural looking pale blonde. I'm still growing out some stubborn copper henna, but the Cassia has blended fairly well with this to give different temperature levels to the overall look. I am loving this product and will, without doubt, be back to Davis Finest for some more. Thanks to them for making the process of using a natural powdered hair product a much more enjoyable experience.

Natural enhancer for your hair
It's too early to tell what long term effect this will have as I've only tried it once, but it does seem to have lightened my light brown hair slightly, and definitely changed a natural white streak I have at the front of my hair. It has conditioned my hair and it feels a little thicker. But I think you would need to use it regularly for the best effect. It looks and smells like henna powder, dark green with that kind of marshy smell which I personally like. You mix and apply it just like henna, in a paste with warm water to the consistency you prefer. I left mine on for an hour as an experiment and will try longer next time. The packet is quite generous too so there should be several applications in it. All in all I liked the product and it is natural with no additives. I think it will lighten my hair gradually and should help the condition.

Highly recommend.
I didn't really know what to expect but have used henna before and it's kind of the same mess wise. I have blonde hair with some greys, I wanted to hide these. I decided to change from chemical dyes but didn't want henna as was too dark for me. I used today and it did exactly what I wanted it to. The greys have blended in nicely and it's a lovely natural looking beach blonde colour with the lighter bits looking like very natural highlights. I've already ordered some more. I have to say washing it out is a bit of a pain as talkes a while, and I ended up using shampoo and conditioner at the end as my hair was in a right tangle. When my hair was wet it did feel really dry, but after drying it off it was so shiny and looked in such good condition. It is a bit pongy but I like the smell as it smells natural not like the nasty chemicals I was using before.

This product is a waste of money.
There is no color in this henna hair color and you are wasting your money and time in it. I have tried it and there is nothing in it.
