I bought the EMEKIAN Locking Carabiner Clips for setting up a hoist system in my loft, and they’ve worked excellently for that purpose. The relatively wide opening gate makes them convenient for connecting ropes and other attachments, and they feel very sturdy and well-built.However, I wouldn’t recommend these for climbing or other safety-critical uses. They’re smaller than proper climbing screwgates, so for climbing, I’d definitely suggest going with a climbing-specific brand. But for general applications like camping, hammocks, hoist systems, and more—they’re perfect!

just what I needed

They are a little bit big as there for my dogs but they are strong enough to do the job that I need them for. Good value for money.

Strong and sturdy but the nose shape means it is not compatible with my climbing rope lock offs. (It won't go through the small hole like all my other "climbing" carabineers do.)
