Wave, you're on screen
I love it. It’s an affordable little kit based around an IC so the quality of the signal is down to the IC used. The square wave was surprisingly square but he tri wave was a laugh, and the sine wave looked like it was signed by a doctor. Anyway, it produces signals that my scope puts in the ball park, as well as making every horrible noise of nightmares, so I can use it to trace faults, and frighten to rooks away if screeched down an amp.I noticed that a few peeps were struggling with the little nuts and screws. Looking intently at the pictures it seems that they are not fixing anything but act as locating pegs and standoffs for the circuit board. So, I fixed the smaller screws and nuts to the circuit board and just rested it on the plastic base. The rest off the box fitted perfectely around and held the board securely with all the controls and sockets in the right places. The longer screws then screwed through the top and into the base where they made their own thread and clamped the whole kit together. It then looked just like the ad. Brilliant.

Only given a quick test so far. Seems OK. Build quality good

NOT High Precision
pro'sNot many - arrived next day (prime) and has a photocopied circuit diagram.con'sThere is some self assembly to do - case and knobs. The clear plastic case is covered with a protective layer which needs removing - sadly that means the labelling on one will be removed so you have to remember what the jumper positions are.Selecting frequency is a matter of selecting a range with a jumper then fiddling with the fine/coarse pots - you need an oscilloscope to work out the frequency. The screws supplied to hold the case top and bottom together were not long enough to pass through the case into the supplied nuts. In fact, the only way the case would hold together was to screw the bolts into the holes in the plastic base - which seems to have been made to allow that to happen. So the nuts would be superfluous. The amplitude pot does affect the sine/triangle waves but NOT the square wave. Without an oscilloscope you wouldn't see the distortion on the triangle wave at maximum amplitude. The output signals are DC biased at a level dependent on the supply voltage (I used 9v).The squarewave output is more trapezoidal than square - hardly high precision.Conclusion.Not really worth the money. I previously bought a similar self assembly from another supplier and needed two signal sources. It'll have to do.

No Jumpers.
No jumpers. Small screws too short.

Rough and ready piece of basic test equipment, better than nothing.
It is not fully assembled but the electrics part is. The container box is hard to assemble.

May need fixing. OK for experienced user
Fiddly to assemble. Calibration of signal way off. Pins on range settings loose but easy to fix.
