Produces little heat
Hardly produces any heat in 55 degree weather.Only produces heat in certain spots while it remains cold in others. Stays plugged in overnight

Definitely keeps liquids from freezing
This has a sturdy plastic like exterior that wraps around a drum and straps in place. It does a great job of heating livestock water barrels in very cold temps in OK. No icing over at all. Lasted 2 months so far before it warmed enough where they weren’t needed. Saved a lot of worry when we went out of time.
