THis review is for theTHCMAG 960llb single side magnet. I think you can go too large in terms of magnet pull strength and I've seen many struggle to get the magnet off of a find. This is a good size, 90mm which is comfortable to cast and has a good amount of strength. I have not lost anything so far. I secure the ring with impact adhesive, 24 hours to cure, this is necessary whichever magnet you buy as too many complaints of magnets lost on the first day. A good price for the power, well made so happy.

This item was complete waste of money, bought cheaper ones in the pass which have been good, this magnet doesn't stick to anything unless it's a flat surface. no good for magnet fishing

If your starting out Magnet Fishing then this kit is perfect to get you started. Starting out as a basic you get the Magnet and Rope but that doesn't mean this kit is perfect to fish out every type of magnetic item you find. If its small and close to the magnets pound pull then your in a good chance to retrieving some items, but bigger finds you'll have a struggle trying to acquire.Ive been using this for almost over 3 weeks now, and had some great finds with it. The rope is alright but not the best as the length is impressive its the thickness I worry about as it feels that it would knacker way to easy, so investing in a new £30-60 rope is ideal, as for the magnet you can upgrade later on to a proper magnet to magnet fish with costing you between £100-500 depending on where you shop. This kit also comes with a hook that isn't magnetic but you can buy ones that are magnetic which could help in some situations but for now this one does go and I have it attached on the hook with the magnet to get better finds.Overall if you starting out for the first time giving magnet fishing ago, then this is perfect as the price is reasonable and if after a month or two you think its not for you then at least you didn't spend a fortune on a kit as this is cheap and affordable to get you started. As one magnet fishermen said to me its the Amazon Special meaning perfect to people starting out getting there area and spots discovered and planning there routine before spending on the proper stuff.
