ThermalrightAM5 CPU Contact Frame for Secure Frame Kit Anti-Bending Buckle Black (75mm, CPU Cooler)

Used this bracket on my new 9800x3d as it looks very sturdy and I wanted a easier time applying thermal paste.Installing was super easy and it holds the CPU firmly in place. A must have for your new AM5 builds, better than the standard frame that comes with the Motherboards.

I've used these in 3 different AM5 builds now, and have come to prefer them. Installation isn't overly difficult, just 4 torx head screws (a driver is supplied, along with some TIM, but I prefer to use my own). AM5 isn't known for problems with bending like Intel overly, so don't expect huge temperature improvements, but these do help to keep the TIM from ending up down the side of the CPU (stupid IHS design), some still goes down, but not nearly as much. Also, it could be pure coincidence, but I have had 0 of the memory controller problems I read some people had had with AM5 sockets thanks to temperature changes causing expansion and contraction issues changing the pressure on the socket from the cooler, across 3 different motherboards. End of the day, they're cheap, and might be doing something useful.. Just remember to retain the clip system that comes with your board, just in case.

Thick, solid aluminium, much better than the standard socket buckles. Not as effective on AMD, but still makes a difference of a degree or two.This kit is a little more expensive than some of the kits on Amazon, because it includes a small syringe of Thermaright TF7 paste.It is a genuine Thermalright product, I checked, lol. Each box has a scratch code that can be entered on the Thermalright website.Thermalright don't give torque settings for the buckle screws, but common sense says it's 0.3~0.6 NM. Nearly all fittings and coolers are in that range. That's not very tight at all.Don't forget that even if you don't do them up tight enough, the cooler will hold everything in place, so it's better to under rather than over torque. Coolers have springs and stops that ensure the torque will not go higher than 0.6NM, so the cooler will clamp everything in place at the right pressure.Fitted, I find these knock about two or three degrees off. It's not much, but every degree counts when you are trying to get temperatures down.Highly recommended.

Reduced my temps by around 4/5 , well worth the money for performance . 2 minutes to install and great quality for the money, no difference to TG bracket.

Saw this on a video about making the most of your cooling.It is such a cheap and nice addition to any AMD or Intel builds, fairly simple to install as well as avoiding paste from dripping around the edges of the CPU when there is a little excess.Fairly pleased, it looks much nicer than the stock plate as well. NEAT.

Is it really necessary for an am5 cpu? No, not at all. Does it improve performance/thermals? Marginally, if at all. But it looks cool, and it keeps thermal paste from getting into the grooves of the ihs. All necessary screws included.

Beautiful fit for AM5 sockets. No worry about spillage from thermal paste. More than worth the $10 I paid for it and it was super easy to install. Definitely recommend if you’re installing the Liquid Freezer III AIO as it will prevent damage to your motherboard.
