THE best Wonder Woman run bar none
This is basically the “Batman Year One” or more like the “The Dark Knight Returns” of Wonder Woman stories. It’s just how great Brian Azzarello’s run was, it added a much needed edge to the character and her world, an aspect that the “Checkmate” mini-series first touched on, and this run expanded and re-worked into her life.Everything in this new mythos, has that old school Greek story dynamic, with the Gods being more akin to a mob family, with different factions vying for the throne of Olympus, and deals are made in blood, and someone is always trying to work some kind of angle, the usual Mafia style politics in play. The biggest change to the overall origin story is that in this incarnation, Diana is not some lump of clay given life, she is the last child of Zeus, which means she’s not servant to the Gods, but she stands as an equal, and has a legitimate claim to the Olympian throne, which adds a very interesting dynamic to her character and her relationship with the Gods and made her more independent of their whims. The story and setup had so much promise, so many moving parts, and a lot of potential for future stories. It’s a shame that Azzarello couldn’t continue past these 51 issues, nor could they find someone with enough talent to continue Azzarello’s groundwork; instead DC just ended up retconning most the new ideas presented in this run, back to her old tried & true roots in DC Rebirth, which has in my opinion, brought the character back down to mediocrity she suffered through in the 80’s and 90’s.Overall, this is the best Wonder Woman story ever written, and needs to be on your shelf, comic fan or not.

One of the best runs in Wonder woman history
This amazing Omnibus, with more that 900 pages, contains one of the best runs in Wonder Woman history; and for sure the best series in the DC 52`s.I've been a long term collector of Wonder woman series. In my opinion, this is the run I like the most next to the George Perez run. It's a long story, that takes place during 34 episodes full of adventure, surprises and unexpected twists. I like a lot the use of the gods that Arrazello does, and the sensation of big, transcendent and round story with its perfect approach, development and outcome. Also, I want to highlight the amazing art from Cliff Chiang, with a beautiful style and amazing narrative; well supported with other artists as Tony Akins and Goran Sudzuka, that perfectly adapts to Chiang style.A great saga. And definitely one of the best purchases of the year!

Underrated run of Wonder Woman
Being a Wonder Woman superfan who has read a lot from the Golden Age to the present, I really enjoyed this run. There is a lot of good material and art here, and having the entire run in one place is very convenient. I love these omnibuses, and I am glad this one was created.

A Fun and Interesting take on the gods
A different take on the Greek gods and one that may or may not be to your liking. I'm always up for a reinterpretation if it's written well, and Azzarello is a solid writer and knows what he's doing. It's self contained with a beginning and end, so there's no need to worry about a cliffhanger or the need to get another book to finish out the story.
