Cardo Systems Freecom-X/Spirit Half Helmet Kit

I knew that I needed this kit when I purchased my Cardo Freedom 2X comms. It does the job and the directional microphone really does a good job at cancelling the wind noise. People who have had issued with the microphone should note that there is a little yellow arrow on the mike under the wind sponge. It needs to be pointed toward the mouth, not forward, towards the wind. My wife and I love the fact we can now talk while riding. It’s also a great safety feature as I can warn her about stops, turns or points of interest and vice versa. Easy to install and use.

arrived on time, switched from a sena 50s to this basic cardo and i’m really happy with it for about 1/3 the price of the sena i only wanted it for phone calls and listening to music through earplugs, it’s way better in wet weather that either of my 2 senas

It’s a great product and the microphone works great, but it doesn’t come with speakers so I had to buy separately the $89 cardio speakers.

Cannot get the boom mike to stay in one place. It is too flimsy.

Great way to utilize a second helmet. My only gripe would be that it doesn’t include some speaker adhesives, but I guess they make another kit for that.

This boom mike in this has a weak flex shaft. At average road speeds, (60 MPH), with a fairing/windshield, the mike keeps working its way to the top of the helmet.

It should work well but the microphone stem is not stiff enough and moves a lot under wind (c.50mph). This distracts the rider/pillion.
