Great 'hack & slash' with interesting lore.
Interesting game. The main point is to advance through levels which have multiple "zones" which are held by either you or the enemy. They can assault yours and try to take over and you can go to theirs and do the same. Its awesome if you like shredding through large quantities of simple enemies and pinpointing larger targets to wear down. Bosses also appear after some provocation. There is a VERY in-depth story which you can look up online, it seems quite deep though.

Fate/BAD: A Below Average Game
I pre-ordered Fate in hopes that it would satisfy my warriors-style game itch. I also hoped it would finally get me interested in the story enough for me to finally invest time and watch the DVDs that have been collecting dust on my shelf for a few years. No. Such. Luck. For the first hour or so, i was thouroughly enjoying the mindless violence and even thought all the reading was really ideal for the Switch. The reading would be ideal if the story was any good. I'm on the last character arc, and now find myself skipping over the story just so i can finish it in time to play Fire Emblem Warriors.Whilst playing i realised that the warriors games have actually fine-tuned the frantic button mashing gameplay, as this really pales in comparison. Who'd have thought that there could be nuances in this type of gameplay that would be sorely missed. If you plan on buying and playing this in short bursts, just know that you'll probably have sessions where all you'll do is read the dull story and maybe make a few decisions that don't affect the narrative. The 1* is for the effort, but i added another as I'm sure my experience with this will make Fire Emblem Warriors feel like masterpiece
