Classic Horror Oracle

Art is really beautiful and well made. So many good classics in here and some newer ones as well! As an oracle deck, the descriptions are well done in the book. I am using this as a novelty, maybe not something to use in my practice, unless the client is a horror fan.

Beautifully done!!! I purchased this deck for my sister and she LOVES it. I’m not even a horror fan but execution and feel of these cards is perfect so I may purchase a deck for myself as well.

Classic Horror Oracle deck is awesome!!! This deck has way more cards than most oracles do, I think 52 total. The book has high quality ink, clear thoughful easy to read explanations. Each page has a cool quote from the movie. For example Jaws, "We're going to need a bigger boat." The cards themselves each have a 1 word title, no borders. The color scheme and art style is so unique to my other decks. They use mostly primary colors with splashes of blue & green against a solid black background so they are pretty dramatic. They really stand out and pop in a spread. I was happily surprised to see some gnarly classics show up like Candyman and The Fly! To be honest I don't know them all but some are the predecessors to today's modern versions of these Horror classics, that's why it's "classic horror", like Ringu card, today's version is The Ring. And American Werewolf in London. They are not numbered but they go in alphabetical order in the book. The black ink and cardstock holds up so good against my rough shuffling. They are the perfect amount of flexible. The box is good quality but a simple slider style with a fitting blood red background making it all come together so beautifully. There is a lot of wild symbolism in this one so be aware of that, it should be expected but some people are wary of pentagrams. The beginning of the book mentions using it in a protection circle of salt. With that said, it gets a high recommendation from me. If you like scary movies, this is your deck.

This is a divination and horror movie lover’s dream oracle deck! I love the artwork, the movie selections, the keywords, and guidebook entries. I love that each movie has a quote and is identified in the guidebook. The messages make sense - this deck was created with thought and not just as a cash grab which seems to be happening more and more lately. I love the size - larger than a standard tarot card, but smaller (width) than an average oracle card. The only possible negative for some may be the drawer style box, but it’s not a big issue. I overhand shuffle so have no problem with the card stock. I can’t attest to how a riffle shuffler would like it. If you are purchasing to use or collect, I think you’ll be pleased in either instance. Highly recommend!

Got this as a gift for a friend!! She loves it, but don’t know if she works with the deck or it’s decorative with the other Horror memorabilia!

Campy horror and lots of fun! These cards are accurate, I wonder what would happen if I read someone else???

I received these as a Christmas present. My GF knows I love horror movies and, while I do not at all believe in fortune telling, am fascinated by the myriad ways people have attempted to divine the future. Several tarot/fortune-telling decks with a horror theme exist, so the novelty of the idea doesn't sell the deck against its competitors. The physical quality of the cards is high, and you'll need to take a look at sample images to determine if the art style is for you or not. I liked it enough. I also liked that the artist, one Ricardo Diseño, reached back in horror history to provide us with lesser-known entries like the French Les Yeux Sans Visage ("Eyes Without a Face"—yes, that's where the song title comes from), or the silent 1928 "documentary", Häxan. It is important to note that this is not an attempt to interpret the 78-card tarot deck; there are only 50 cards here. But you can draw the cards and interpret them any way you like, of course. As I said, this was a Christmas present, and my lady scored well on that front this year with this monstrous set of cards.

Per una come me che ha sempre amato il buon horror di una volta, questo oracolo in stile vintage è un gioiello vero e proprio. Ho apprezzato moltissimo alcuni dettagli rispetto al film di riferimento, come ad esempio il messaggio "Lies" (cioè bugie) nella carta di "Essi vivono". Ci sono chicche di questo tenore ovunque, cosa che lo rende molto appetibile anche dal punto di vista della cultura pop cinematografica in chiave satirica. Inoltre le carte sono di ottima qualità sia per lo spessore, sia per la stampa. La scatola è a cassetto e comprende anche il manuale. Insomma ottimo prodotto.
