I bought this product out of curiosity because I developed an allergy to epoxy resin. No matter how hard i try I can’t keep it off my hands.My biggest problem is with the ratio calculation. I usually start by filling my mold with water and weighing the amount of water in the mold. This is where the confusion begins. I converted to ounces on my scale because there are 28.3 grams to an ounce. The numbers just grow too large using gram weight. Most of my projects require 4-8 ounces of water. For the likes of me I cannot calculate the amount of powder I will need. So I just take a guess. I made some with too much powder and others with too little powder. They all got hard.The 3 items I made came out silky smooth, no air bubbles, and filled the molds beautifully. It was easy to mix with a stirring stick and was fantastic to work with. I had no problems with breakage when removing from the molds. I admit I let them sit a little longer than necessary to assure nothing would break coming out of the mold. My heavier piece is out of the mold and is taking a little longer than 24 hrs to completely dry. That’s okay. I’ve got the time. I imagine much depends on the humidity level in your room.The only thing I might ask the manufacturer to do is provide a conversion chart similar to what comes with the Jesmonite brand. For those of us who work visually rather than scientifically more guidance on ratios is needed.

It's a bright white when you want a bright white. Dyes become pastel (please use appropriate dyes/powders for this type of casting powder). Strong once fully cured (the thinner the item, the longer it takes to cure). Plan your project in advance of mixing, and for intricate molds use 100g powder to 35g water so it will be able to get into smaller areas. Remember to keep an eye on the timing specified for mixing, working, and curing (I always give an extra hour for curing before unmolding).

Mold came in bend. When I pour the tray came out kinda bent. After lots of sanding it’s not that noticeable. Easy to work with

It's different from epoxy, and mixing by weight is new to me, but I like it for some things I've tried. It didn't work well in molds that have thin parts that can break while demolding. But once I learned that I was able to make several pieces that I liked. Also for me mixing the color in the water after weighing and before mixing with the powder helped it to mix in nicely.

The actual casting resin worked well, but I used all the black that came with the kit and I got dark gray when I was looking to get back. Also the mold care all bend out of shape.

This was my 1st time using plaster, and I must say it was a great experience. Everything was easy and the colors came out awesome. I read one of the comments that the color didn't work well for them. I mixed the color in with my measured water.Anyhow I do have a question, can this plaster be used for candle jars?

The media could not be loaded. Fragile results. Color included is not good quality, it separates and rises to the top. Just white looks good. Maybe ok for a dish mold with no small parts that could break off. Easy to use. This is ok quantity for experimenting but not for great finished projects. Molds are not useable because the are misshapen. I even boiled them thinking that might straighten them but it didn’t.

This is a great item. Work’s just like the other higher priced items. Love using it for crafts. It came with molds as well. They were worth the price. I’ll be ordering again.
