This package is an excellent value. The sockets work fine as do the header pins. The pins are scored so they break away easily but the sockets require sacrificing one position when they are cut custom length. That's typical of socket headers like these. They soldered easily and they were packed in full lengths with no broken strips. A very good value pack for all your hobby needs.

Quality headers for many project uses. Both male and female headers arrived mixed together in bubble-wrap inside a pouch. As pictured, I separated them for easier use. My first use of the female headers is shown in the second photo to provide sockets for both a nano microcontroller and 1602 LED display on a small breadboard. While the male headers can be divided easily to the exact pin count, the female headers take a bit of patience. I cut to length using a box cutter blade. There may be a better method to score precisely so as not to lose any pins; maybe I'll search for tips on this. Soldering to the breadboard was simple plus I even wirewrapped most of the exposed pins without issue (note: the pins need to be longer in order to wirewrap more than one wire). The internal header pins provide just the right amount of pressure to both make a good contact and hold the component in place; removal of an item is not difficult either but it's a snug fit as expected. I recommend and would buy again.

Yeah the males are no-brainers, easily snap or cut apart. The females you have to cut (I used wire cutter) and doing so you have to sacrifice one hole, then most likely you'll need to sand down (I used 100 grit paper) excess to fit some board arrangements. The plastic sands really easy, it's not a big deal but I'll definitely be on the lookout for snap-apart females or even singleton females if there's no other option. Otherwise spacing is good, contacts have been good, no complaints.

I use these for general electronic prototyping. These are exactly the same as what I originally purchased at Fry's Electronics when I started working with microcontrollers recently. The difference is a much lower cost. I only wish Amazon would stop shipping via. UPS. Where I live, they are nearly always 1-2 days late where USPS has always been on time. I noticed in another review that someone commented on the female headers not being easy to cut like the male headers. I was in the electronics industry as an engineer for over 40 years and built well over 100 prototypes over the years and have never encountered an easily cuttable female header. You simply sacrifice one pin by cutting in the middle of it and trim off the excess left behind.

Cut these down to various sizes for various projects. Easy to modify and have worked great in each application.

Arrived quickly and intact. Exactly as described, the pins fit fine, great for soldering onto project boards for a quick was to connect components.

These are decent connectors and I suppose you get what you pay for. The connections are solid, nothing feels particularly loose. The male pins are very easy to slide out of place though, so you need to heat them very carefully. The biggest issue I have with these is that the female headers are just about impossible to cut apart and not waste at least one pin. I've resorted to intentionally sacrificing a pin as my point to cut through. These are clearly intended to be cut to size and they just are not up to the task.
