For mycology, it works great and the bottle is well sealed
I purchased this peptone to add to my liquid culture recipe for home mycology. It will work as advertised, possibly too well. The mycelium and my liquid cultures is growing at such a rapid pace I can hardly keep up. If you use this for liquid culture, you need to make sure you stir your jars everyday, sometimes twice a day.

Used as part of liquid culture for mycelium
Worked pretty well for multiplying liquid culture (20X) along with clear, pure corn syrup.

I'm seeing rapid healthy mycelial growth in my liquid cultures with VERY LITTLE of this peptone and VERY LITTLE malt extract. Just a pinch of each is all you need.
