Did exactly what it was supposed to do. Used it to support the lid on an ottoman bench. Instruction were good, and product feels well made.

Set out dimensions a little ambiguous but worth persevering!

Well made bought 2 pairs one on each side of lid keeps lid up very well

The struts were relatively straight forward to fit, instructions are pretty poor though and the fact they are imported individually from China made me feel a bit sick, (Transportation/carbon footprint!). They work well overall but do not allow the lid to lift more that 60 degrees and so has limited what i can store or easily place in my storage box.

Product well made and does the job

Though it comes in nice packaging, and looks the part, it is not fit for purpose and should be avoided at all costs. The printed instructions are nonsensical, and the video isn’t much better. The device does not allow a soft closure, quite the opposite in the fact. Fitted as instructed, the lid will not self close. You can force the lid to close but as soon as you let go it lifts the lid. It doesn’t lift gently though, it opens with such force that it actually tore itself out of the wood to which it was attached. It has ruined my whole project. If I could give it zero stars I would.

After trying cheaper ones, bought this. One was enough to hold a large (120 x 60 x 1.8 cm) wooden treasure box lid safe. I specially bought this to make sure the lid does not snap on the kids fingers when using the box, and it is very good and safe. Slow closure with no sudden snap at the end unlike the previous one I used. Installation was also simple. Also have a spare one to make more treasure boxes! After a question asked by another customer, thought to put the picture of how it holds the chest lid for clarity.
