I love how I don’t have to twist the thing it’s got a trigger on. It works great. I would recommend it to anyone.

I was excited to have a more compact and lightweight caulk gun. Good idea, but it's a piece of crap. Cheap plastic material and didn't even get to use once before it broke as I was preparing for the job. The clutch is stuck in a pulled back position and will not move back to it's original state no matter what I do. I didn't have any issues when loading it, but I removed the tube of caulk to adjust my cut on the tube and to stop the caulk from coming out (it wouldn't stop on its own) and when I placed the tube back in the gun, it will now not dispense any product. All it does is push the entire tube forward when I pull the trigger back. I tried forcing the clutch forward but that was of no help as the whole piece just keeps popping off. Like I said, this product is a good idea, but not very well made. So frustrating when I wanted to get my product done! Guess it's back to the traditional style.

It does not work well with cardboard tubes. Hopefully it’s better with plastic.

The tips that came with to help smooth out the caulk are pretty much useless. It’s very difficult to squeeze it through the tip to even get enough to come out the end and smoothing the caulk doesn’t work very well. With that said, the actual device is awesome especially for arthritic hands. Way much easier to use than the other Caulking guns. I bought two so far. This one just happened to come with the tips not a big deal as a little bit of water and a finger smooths it out perfectly with some practice.

So, this clever product works differently from standard caulk guns- instead of driving a piston up through the tube, it grips the tube and drives it back against a fixed stop inside the gun to expel caulk. Works great for the first five or six tubes, then the problems start. Product description mentions that the caulk stops instantly after each trigger pull. Not really. If you're using a silicone caulk, it will continue to ooze out for another minute, so have something for it to drip on. And after about 8 tubes, the gripping collar of coarse sandpaper inside wears down and now the tubes don't rachet through with each trigger pull. This is a cool idea, badly executed. Save your money and use the version your dad used, at least it's reliable.

At first sight and use this appears to be well made and works well. An amazingly simple, thoughtfully designed and very useful innovation.

This product is amazing. I am not one to say that easily and buying this, in my mind, was a little bit of a risk. I have used the traditional gun up until now and only purchased this as a test run on the product. The use of the gun is easy and the trigger is sensitive enough to allow for control flow of the product. When I bought this I was worried about how it would feel when you first start the cocking, like the balance would be off or something, but once I started using it I was hooked. It’s really light weight and as advertised it allows you to get into tight corners and spaces. One of the best features in my mind is how easily it stores in my tool kit. I also really like the fact that when you pull the trigger you get cocking out and when you stop the cocking stops, no more clicking the plunger pin to stop the flow. I am hooked on this and would recommend it to anyone both in the DIY world or professional world, this makes things easier and faster. Worth every penny.
