My four-year-old is obsessed. He always struggled on wanting to sit down and learn however, he’ll sit down and play with this for hours. Not only is it great for him learning how to write his letters. It’s helping him memorize all his letters.

I love the concept of this but just a little too messy for my 6 year old. I love the light and stand for the letters. Read how much sand to put in! Don't just dump the whole bag in like I did lol.

Bought to add to my classroom and my students LOVE it. they enjoy exploring different sensory materials and this helped many learn to write their letters!

... I should've listed to the other reviews about how messy it could get. I really thought I was doing something by thinking I could put it into a trofast/sensory bin. My kid is not big on throwing things or being messy but sometimes if he brought the stylus up or move it round too fast (I didn't use the whole bag of sand- just about how ever amount they recommended) the sand would just get every where. I had high hopes for the light feature to shine through the sand and it did but then we had to do this in a almost dark area of the house to see the light. The only thing I loved about it is the cards. Very clear instructions on which direction to write, and the images all made sense to correspond to the letter/number. Kid was somewhat interested but didn't hold his attention long.

This is a great learning tool for students. It was a perfect way to practice writing letters and numbers. It is great for at home practice and classroom practice. Sand was easy to keep in box. Light was a fun addition that made my son more excited to practice.

This is a very engaging, sturdy little sand writing unit.I am pretty amazed by how much my kids actually like this silly little thing, but they do. The like it much more than a plain tray with sand. I might buy another.The red sand is messy, but for the high engagement, I do not mind. Anything to get them WANTING to practice writing letters.

So, I love the overall concept of this. It's a great multi-sensory way for my special education students to practice letters and/or spelling. Unfortunately the included sand is pretty messy. I'm wondering if sensory sand would work better, or at least be easier to keep in the tray, and will pick some up to try when I can. I'm not sure if it would move back into place too quickly for kids to see what they wrote, though. I would like to find a way to make this work because it's a really fun idea. I just can tell that if I continue to use the sand included, it's going to make for a messy classroom and eventually a lot of lost sand. I think for now I'm going to have students use it over an old cookie tray to minimize mess and sand loss.

My daughter loves this so much. We store it in a ziplock bag because the container isn’t secure and to save my sanity from sand everywhere.

Ce jouet a un double avantage puisqu'il est à la fois éducatif et ludique: c'est juste parfait pour mon enfant.🤍🎶😊Ma fille adore dessiner, et ce jouet lui permet d'apprendre à former des chiffres et aussi des lettres d'une manière très amusante:▪️ Il s'agit d'un plateau lumineux que l'on remplit d'un sable coloré .▪️Sur le devant du plateau, il y a un emplacement pour pouvoir poser une carte cartonnée qui sert de modèle à l'enfant. 🤍Ce que j'apprécie :▪️Ce jeu est formidable à emporter (chez la nounou, chez la mamie, en vacances...)▫️(Il a un couvercle qui se referme bien et qui sécurise le tout..)▪️ Les cartes sont bien grandes et elles tiennent parfaitement dans la fente du jouet.▪️ Il y a un côté râteau et stylet que l'enfant peut tenir facilement:▫️ il est adapté à ses petites mains ( car il est de forme triangulaire ).▪️Le jouet est suffisamment lumineux pour qu'on puisse bien voir ce que l'on trace.▪️L'enfant peut à la fois dessiner avec le doigt, mais aussi avec le stylet.▪️Le compartiment à piles est bien sécurisé avec une vis pour que l'enfant n'y touche pa..▪️ il y a un bouton ON OFF▪️le plateau a 4 pieds antidérapants, ce qui fait qu'il est bien stable sur la table. ⚠️il faut prévoir 2🔋 piles AAA LR03 (elles ne sont pas fournies)🤔😓😣🔸️Ce que je regrette: c'est qu'il n'y ait pas une possibilité de ranger le sable à l'intérieur du plateau :- Si on pouvait ouvrir la base du plateau, et qu'il y avait un emplacement pour ranger le sable, ce serait idéal ( ou alors qu'il y ait une boîte hermétique livrée avec pour ranger le sable). ❇️Une fois que l'on ouvre le sachet de sable rouge, ce n'est pas pratique de sécuriser les petits grains !(J'enlève une étoile pour cette raison)▫️Pour ma part, j'ai mis le sable dans un sachet en tissu..🌟🌟🌟🌟 C'est toutefois un jouet formidable pour les petits et ma fille adore jouer avec. Je trouve que les cartes sont bien conçues car elles indiquent à l'enfant comment effectuer le tracé. 🎁 C'est une belle idée de cadeau, et un jouet intéressant qui occupe bien ma fille. Elle y joue avec plaisir.

This is a lovely way of teaching letters, numbers, artistic skills and honing those fine motor skills. My 2 year old really enjoyed playing with this, aiding his pre-writing skills and it helped my 4 year old correctly form letters and numbers.Excellent quality. The box has a lid to contain the sand. It comes with nice flash cards which show the direction to write the letters and numbers. A stylus and a rake is included but you can easily use a finger to draw with too. Great for sensory play, this is very engaging.
