Noctua NF-F12 iPPC-2000 IP67 PWM, Heavy Duty Cooling Fan, 4-Pin, 2000 RPM (120mm, Black)

As we almost take for granted with Noctua these all worked, were quiet and pushed a lot of air. The high max RPM is useful but I am able to run these at half speed with very little noise even when the machine is heavily loaded. When there is little load the system is silent. The fans are able to spin down to very low speeds. The level of noise for each speed is very good.

Keeps my OCd 9900k system super cool. Set a good fan curve, 2k rpm is quite loud.

PerformanceJumping right into it and there is no denying the performance the industrialPPC range has to offer. Not only did they out-perform the fans I tested them against, they have a lot of other features that will allow them to perform better than your average fans. For one, the IP67 rating not only means they are water and dust proof, this also adds longevity to the fans as nothing will be getting in the motor and essentially slowing it down over time. Not only did they knock a good few degrees of my CPU temps during the test, they were also noticeably quiter than the fans they were tested against. When I say noticeably, I do in fact mean that, I could actually hear that they were a lot quieter than the other fans on test at the time.DesignFrom an aesthetics standpoint, the industrialPPC fans are very pleasing. From a more technical design aspect, they offer some great features that allow for ever greater functionality. While some may question Noctua’s colour choice of fans in the past, there has never been any questions about the engineering that goes into them and the industrialPPC range breaks the mould. These fans are designed to stand the test of time, in an industrial environment and while I wish I could, I am unable to test them to their full abilities. What I will say is this, they are also backed with a 6-year warranty, something which companies don’t just hand out to poorly designed products.ValueThere is no denying these fans come with a premium price tag and definitely cost a bit more than more standard PC fans. This is, of course, to do with the fact they are designed for cooling industrial grade equipment and not your standard gaming PC. The IP67 rating alone should tell you these fans means business and are not you generic fans. Coming in at around £19-£24 from our friends over at eBuyer.com, these fans offer great functionality that extends past the needs of your average PC user or even PC gamer. Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  It does the job!IP67 means I'll be less worried about dust and such getting inside, so hopefully it will make it last longer.Putting it very unscientifically, it can be very quiet, or very loud, depending on how you set it, and when it's loud, it certainly seems to blow a lot of air around.On full speed, my motherboard sensor shows one of these maxing out at 1979 RPM and the other one at 2014 RPM, and setting one to its lowest speed had it at about 170 RPM (I don't know whether that's supported or recommended, I think Noctua lists 450 RPM as the minimum using 20% PWM - though my MB does mention voltage control for case fans somewhere in the BIOS).I was rather disappointed to learn that the fan doesn't come with any of the colorful rubber pads in the Chromax series. Retrospectively, it makes sense - this is meant more for industrial applications, not gaming rigs. It does look like it would fit them though, if you have some lying around.I'm getting the temperatures I expected in my 9.7L case, so I'm definitely happy - but I imagine you'd also want to check out a professional review to decide whether this is the fan for you.
