Behringer B-2 PRO Dual Diaphragm Studio Condenser Microphone

After some research, I am delighted with this microphone. It arrived ahead of the advised date, it comes in a quality aluminium case with good mouldings for support. I like the inclusion of the shock mount to avoid noise transmission across a floor and options over pickup pattern & filtering. But main thing is the fantastic quality of the recording using it ... this picks up the frequency range that I needed (various saxophones) ... it is therefore also probably excellent for vocals.

I bought this mic as a studio mic, going to be using it to record a choir. I have another one beside this one. So recording them in stereo pair. Really good nice sounding mic whether you are a beginner or pro, it’s just a nice mic in general. Comes with 3 polar patterns and a normal and low pass filter. Great for using in the studio, church and some live work.

Love this microphone. We use it for vocals in our home recording studio. I also use one hooked up to my ham radio via a small mixing desk. Great results.

I'm a big fan of the Behringer B-1 and I own several. Now I have need for a microphone with a figure-of-eight pattern so I decided to buy the B-2. It's worth noting that the B-2 is (slightly) inferior to the B-1 in several respects - slightly less flat frequency response, slightly less sensitive, slightly worse signal-to-noise ratio, slightly higher self-noise. These differences are a compromise of the switchable pattern design. You probably wouldn't notice these differences in everyday use and the quality is still great. However if you just want a vocal or instrument microphone with a cardioid pattern, definitely buy the B-1 since it is cheaper and (slightly) better. The one reason to buy the B-1 is for the omnidirectional and figure-of-eight pickup pattern which is essential if you are doing mid-side (M-S) recording. The value is outstanding for a multi-pattern mic and the quality is great so don't hesitate to buy this microphone - it's the best you'll find at the price (and even for a lot more money).

Couldn't make this up! ordered 1 took ages to arrive from germany arrived with the wildest grounding/rf hum ever like when you have your jack cable hanging out of a guitar or amp style hum, which read 45db! got a return then ordered the second one and after 10 minutes of use the grounding hum came back! no issues at all on my other mics or cables or pres! how bad must Behringers quality control be!? never ever have i ordered any mic that arrived with issues! and ive been an audio engineer for nearly 20 years! honestly shocked at how bad this is and the worst thing is when it didnt hum the second time round it was really super clean and smooth and sounded far higher than its price point! was really looking forward to using this one for spoken word application but now im going to have to shell out more for a big name LDC.

Very well made and good quality microphone. Great sound and nice that it comes with a box to keep it in one peice when being transported around. The price is right too and Amazon fulfilled the usual fast delivery. This item was sent via good old Royal Mail so no complaints there. Just wish Amazon would stop insisting on using Yodel for their deliveries....A real let down and one way to lose customers !!!

The sound is outstanding. I was totally amazed at how good the mic picks up your voice and the surroundings. It is VERY sensitive, which in a lot of case that's a good thing. It is built very tough, heavy and balanced weight. Extremely easy to use! Make sure have a good mixer, it deserves to be set correctly by your voice or equipment. The case that it comes in is very cool too. I love the Behringer products, I have many of them, from the mixers, to the eq's to the compressors and amps. This is the 1st mic I have got from them. Typically I get the Shure models or Audio Technica. I am pleased and impressed with the sound.
