Eric Carle: 100 Postcards

Beautiful pictures and excellent quality

I bought these to use in Postcrossing. Excellent quality.

A lovely box with a hundred postcards. The cards are made out of very sturdy cardboard. The pictures are very cute. There are bookcovers, random patterns, hungry catterpillar, flowers. I love this box!

Lovely postcards which look great framed in my baby's room.

The postcards are exactly what I was looking for - bright, cheerful and ideal for sending to young children. They were also very good value.

Perhaps I am being a bit mean here, but about twenty of the postcards also contain the title of the book and the author/ authors. I would rather have had just the pictures. However, the box is attractive and sturdy, the cards themselves are bright and cheerful, and many will be recognisable from all Eric Carle's wonderful stories. I shall look forward to using them with my second language English pupils at school.

At about fifteen cents a postcard (at the time I purchased them), you can't go wrong! I am including photos of the backside of the box so you get a good idea of the huge assortment available, as well as the actual cute & sturdy box they come in. The cards themselves are very good quality as well, sturdy, with a slight glossy finish on the picture side. There are nine designs that have no picture: I LOVE YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAPPY NEW YEAR, HAPPY EASTER, THANK YOU, PEACE, HAPPY HOLIDAYS, MERRY CHRISTMAS, LOVE, I❤U🐛. You could jazz those up with a couple of small stickers if you like. Also, if you are in the U.S.A. did you know you can still use the General Post Office that is within the U.S. Post Ofc to send PERSONAL post cards, personal cards and personal letters weighing a half oz or less for just two cents? Yes, you read that right! You can look it up yourself. Each additional half oz is two more cents. You may use two ea of one cent stamps as well. Leave the zip code off your return address and the send to address replacing those with the words Zip Exempt, AND spell out STREET, AVENUE, LANE, etc. as well as the state name, CALIFORNIA, NEW YORK, ARIZONA, etc. No abbreviations allowed. Example: MY FRIEND 123 HAPPY MAIL LANE APARTMENT 7 COTTAGETOWN, NEBRASKA ZIP EXEMPT FROM: YOUR FRIEND POST OFFICE BOX 123 FUNTOWN, CALIFORNIA ZIP EXEMPT Under the stamp write: GENERAL POST OFFICE NON DOMESTIC ZIP EXEMPT It is my understanding these guidelines are all listed under: US Statutes at Large, Vol. 12, Thirty-seventh Congress, Sess. III, Ch. 71, 1863, page 705, Sec. 23 YOU MAY WISH TO INCLUDE THIS ON YOUR ENVELOPE AS WELL, AS MANY POSTAL EMPLOYEES ARE NOT AWARE OF THE STATUTE.
