Ruled Notebook/Journal - Classic Lined Journal/Notebook, 5.3" x 8.26", Hardcover with Thick Paper, Banded + Pen Holder +Inner Pocket - Black

I use this for tracking my workouts, since I prefer to be able to just look back without needing my phone at the gym. Ink bleed-through is essentially zero with a Pilot G2 07 gel pen, and smearing is minimal, even when my hands are a little sweaty. Compact, portable, and the ribbon, elastic close-loop, and pen loop come in very handy. Price was decent, and I like that it's red - it easily stands out from my other notebooks and is quickly visible for when I'm (often) running late to the gym. Planning to buy another when this one is full.Have not tested its water resistance post-swim yet, but I don't expect it to be water-resistant - it's not supposed to be.

I did not expect much at this price point. I love dot grid journals, and use them daily so I’m pretty selective about them. This notebook pleasantly surprised me! The cover is sturdy and color looks great, I got the light blue. There is a pen loop, pocket in the back cover, a band to keep the book closed as well as a ribbon page marker. The paper is a nice weight so ink doesn’t bleed through, and the size is juuuust right! It is a little bit thinner than some I’ve bought, but at this price point and with this quality, I find that perfect. I don’t want to try to jam several months into a single book. I would much rather keep a quarter worth of notes, to me that lines up better with how I goal set and track business. I am so happy with this book!

Makes excellent small sketchbooks. My 6yo wanted one with lines and my 4yo wanted no lines, so that’s what I got, but I really like that there are both options for the same price.Be aware that it’s hard to clean dirty little fingerprints off of them, maybe stick with darker colors if you’re buying for a child.I don’t really care about the smudges, I like that they have affordable sketchbooks that they can take everywhere with them, as my kids draw a LOT and lack of sketchbooks means millions of loose papers everywhere in my life.Paper is thick enough for drawing and coloring, but maybe not for marker usage.Will be buying more for my other kids.

Simple journal, as advertised. The color is gorgeous, the pen loop and ribbon bookmark are ok quality. Definitely a decent journal, for the price. I do wish the dot grid was a bit lighter ink though, when I'm writing or sketching, the dots are so dark it's distracting. I'll use it up, but will probably opt for a different brand with a lighter dot grid next time. (Just for my own personal preference)

UPDATE: 3/15/25-- I tried ordering another book in Black to see if i'd get one with a back pocket and once again it arrived without the back pocket lol. I know it's a trivial thing but I like having it, so I sent it back and now I believe that ALL the Black ones will come without the back pocket, so keep this in mind if you want the Black one!I really like this book so I just ordered a second White one because I like how clean the White looks, and both times that arrived with the back pocket....so if you want the pocket stay away from the black one lol.They are really great books and I enjoy writing in it so i'm bumping my rating from 4 stars to 5. I will buy more colors and if any come with no back pocket you can bet I will return with another Edit! :)EDIT: 3/8/25---The seller replaced the book which was very nice, explaining that it was most likely a random occurrence. So if you wind up with a book without the back pocket, just reach out to the seller and have it replaced. I like the book so much that I bought the white one as well---and it has the pocket in back! The white is very pretty btw so i'm adding the photos of that one as well.I like this notebook but the listing clearly states it has a back pocket and I received one with no pocket. I like using them for receipts and various slips of paper to tuck inside so it was disappointing to receive one without one when it states it comes with it.I can't return it because I had already removed the pen holder that sticks out on the side which I don't like. I will still use it, but be aware that if you like to utilize the back pocket, you may not get it with this book even though it states that you will.I have included photos of the front and back flaps to show I didn't make a mistake and just look at the wrong side of the book lol.

This is a quite attractive, very useful little book. I like that it has archival pages and I find it a most enjoyable to write in. I would not hesitate to purchase more of the same. I certainly recommend the book and the seller.

Surprisingly for the price this journal is GREAT. I wanted a new journal that’s comparable to a moleskin for my junk journaling. I can confidently say this is a great affordable option. I got the burgundy color. The pages are a good thickness, there’s a back pocket and LOVE the pen loop addition.
