Barely enough for a Large BGE
Product worked okay, but it is a little narrow so I "pushed it together" to ensure there is no tension and I can cover the full width of my large BGE rim for the dome and base.Had 3 inches left over. If I had wanted to replace the gasket/braiding around the chimney, I couldn't have, and I almost did that first.Large BGE buyers may want the 17' version.

Much needed replacmeent for BGE
I probably leave my seals on my Egg WAY too long, but it's such a hassle to remove, clean the rim and reapply that I put it off.The wound up being a pretty easy application once the surface was prepped. I've only had a couple of short cooks using it, but it seals well so far and seems to be holding well. I'm not sure how long it'll last, but I'm hoping I can forget about it for a while. The package says it's good for up to 6 'clean burns', which I'm not 100% sure what is meant by. I assume high temp, cleaning type burns with no food. I'll have to hold off on those....not wanting to change the thing out any time soon.

Not Enough
This product said it included “extra material for chimney” and it absolutely does not. I bought this as part of an anniversary gift for my big green egg obsessed husband. In the description it includes large eggs, and it absolutely does not fit a large egg including the chimney. Would not buy again as now my husband can not use his egg until additional product from a different party is delivered.

Good Quality, Follow instructions for lasting application
It is extremely important to remove all residue from the old gasket before installing this gasket.Tips:• Use a scraper to remove all the residue that you can from BOTH the lid and bottom of the grill.• If you find it difficult to work with the lid, try looking up instructions for how to remove the lid of your grill so you can set it on a flat surface.• Next, go over the rim with a wire fine brush, do not apply too much force, the idea is to loosen the residue from the old adhesive (and whatever may have gunked on over the years...) without damaging the ceramic of the grill.• Apply GooGone or some other adhesive remover, let sit for a few minutes, then wipe off, and then clean off any remaining GooGone with rubbing alcohol. Do NOT skip this step with the alcohol or you could jeopardize your new gasket from adhering properly. Make multiple passes with the alcohol if necessary. No part of the top or bottom rim should be greasy.• Remember to cut the ends of the gasket at an angle, as shown on the back of the package. Use very sharp scissors to prevent fraying. If you need a video guide, I've found that the one produced by Vision Grills the most straightforward without skipping any steps. You can find it by searching "how to change vision grill gasket". While vision grills use felt gaskets not braided fiberglass gaskets like this, the procedure is pretty much the same.

Excellent door insulation for your cabinet smoker!
I know, I know. This is primarily intended for replacing the insulation around the opening of a Green Egg type grill/smoker, but I have to say it couldn’t possible have done a better job on my cabinet smoker. This is my 3rd one and with each version the gauge of the metal seems to get a bit thinner and fit a little less precisely. This leads to you watching as your hard earned smoke seeps around the seems in the doors, bleeding off precious flavor and heat. I needed to do something. I just hoped this would work.Despite the door being quite dirty, and despite my cleaning the edges with Easy Off, I was concerned it would stick, and if it did, it wouldn’t stay. That is before my worry it wouldn’t close with it on, or that it wouldn’t seal, or potentially both.Fortunately, this product impressively did all the above it stuck, stayed stuck and sealed my cabinet. The door first snuggly and had I don’t a bit better job it probably would be completely sealed. The good news is I have 40” left over if I do need to do some re-working and repairs, but it’s 99% or better now, so I’m quite happy. The cost of this product will be recovered easily in better cooked food with less wood burned.I’m happy I finally got around to doing this, and I’m sure you will too.

Seal too short - great customer service!
Wasn’t long enough. Short by about 5 inches. However seller did reach out directly and provided a replacement seal @ no cost! Looking forward to giving it a try again!

Better than the OEM gasket
I should clarify that my Kamado grill isn't a Green Egg which is what this gasket is intended for. With that said I couldn't be happier with the results I got when I replaced the worn out felt gasket on my Kamado style grill. I expect that it would work equally well on any Kamado grill that uses a flat gasket to seal the lid. In my case the original gasket was a felt type that worked very well when it was new, but it seamed to age quickly and become brittle. Eventually the seal failed and it was no longer air tight. This gasket is a woven fiberglass material that is used in many high temperature applications, and I expect that it will last considerably longer than the OEM gasket it replaces.Installation was straightforward and only requires that you remove the previous seal and clean the channel thoroughly before installing the new gasket. I used a razor scrapper carefully to remove any leftover felt and adhesive backing from the old gasket material, and a little isopropyl alcohol to make sure gasket channel was de-greased, and the new gasket went on without a hitch. This is a project that almost anyone should be able to do, and took me less than 15 minutes start to finish, including cleaning up the mess I made before my wife could complain ;) All in all I highly recommend this if the seal on your Kamado has seen better days, and the fact that its made in the USA is a pleasant bonus. The extra gasket material to replace the chimney seal was also appreciated. Easy 5 star rating.
