Top grade ball thrower
Got this not for batting practise but for the dog! We had been using day-glow practise cricket balls for a while (tennis balls did not last very long) and they did work in a 'for tennis balls' thrower, but it was less than optimal. Wanted to get a thrower intended for cricket balls. The Sidearm works really well, with an out to the side throwing action you can get 45 to 50 yards no problem. The result is one fit and happy dog!

Great piece of kit
This has made me (a Scottish bloke in his 40s who has no idea about cricket) able to launch cricket balls at my son in the nets that firstly get there, secondly, don’t ruin my shoulder and finally, don’t make me look like an imbecile. It’s worth the money.

Perfect!
I am abit tight so was just going by to buy a dog ball thrower but after talking to the cricket coach and abit of research I went with this one. Once shown how to use it and after abit of practice (5-10 throws) it was easy to use and much better than me trying to bowl (who has NEVER played cricket!) at my teenager who also plays for the adult team! 😂

You're going to have to teach yourself to use it.
Good fun. Easier than continously bowling (especially at age 60+). There is a bit of a learning curve to geeting good consistent results, but there's plenty of training tips out there on the web. Good fun - shame it's not a little more affordable for some of the youngsters, som eof whom I know are keen to invest in one.
