This absolutely works as described. I tried it out on my front door and it definitely kept the door from moving. Accordingly, it does provide a good amount of security. The only caveat I have is that this handy little gadget has to be screwed into the proper position to hold the door securely shut. While providing good security, it will make any type of quick exit, e.g., fire or other emergency, a little bit slower as you'll likewise need to unscrew it to remove it. In other words, this is not a quick-release item.

Right on time. Checked into bread and breakfast and the deadbolt didn't work well. The inn keeper didn't agree with me since the bolt did technically latch (less than 1/4 inch went into the frame hole). I used this and felt very secure. I don't know what i would have done without it.

It works well, very sturdy. my only issue is that it is slightly damaging to my door frame. It did come with silicone pieces that go on the end, but they don’t help with the indentions from all the pressure. My back door doesn’t close right and only has one lock so overall for the price it’s worth it.

Reading some of the 1 star reviews, it's obvious many did not read the information that tells you what kind of door the product works on. Yes, the product is small, but it definitely works. I bought this after I had a roommate bail on me. My adult daughter is afraid the ex-roomate person would come in until maintenance can change the lock. I have a deadbolt on my apartment door and had to go out without my daughter. I used my key when I came back and couldn't get in. I had forgotten about the Trustella. When I couldn't get in, I remembered I had my daughter put it on the door. I messaged my daughter and told her to wait before taking it off. So, I decided to see if I could force my way in and could not, even when using my entire weight pushed against the door (I'm an overweight person and a little over 200 lbs.). Even when I tried to ram the door, I still couldn't get in. Definitely glad I purchased this as my ex-roomate who is less strong than me wouldn't be able to get in.

First time I used these on a trip I had no problem. Second time there was a bit of an issue but after many attempts to remove it from the hotel door it was fine. Well, the third time we used these when we visited the Grand Canyon and we got stuck in our hotel room on the third floor! Thankfully we were traveling with strong men who had to break it so we could pry the hotel door open. I do not recommend this product at all!!

Does not fit all doors. I used it at a hotel and was disappointed.

Took a bit of getting used to the most efficient way to emplace & remove, but was well worth the effort. Great for a door that is not level with the frame. Well suited to an apartment when the landlord does not allow modifications to the door or frame. Very satisfied and highly recommended!

Outside very useful
