Amazon Basics RJ45 Cat-5e Network Ethernet Cable - 50 feet (15.2 meters), Gray

I bought this to wire in my PC. Due to the position of the computer in relation to my router, the signal I was getting was poor. Once I had completed the arduous task of creating a whole big enough in the partition wall between my front and back rooms I ran the cable through. The cable was much longer than required, but this was due to me being over-cautious rather than the product description being inaccurate. The product has now been in use for around a month and works absolutely perfectly. It is surprisingly sturdy and the connectors seem of a much higher quality than previous ethernet cable that I have had (supplied by my service provider). The speed of my broadband connection has improved dramatically and I highly recommend this product. Perfect for those on a budget or in search of a bargain!

Nothing beats a wired connection. I work in IT and this serves my home network with high speed internet without any issues. This lead is great for streaming and maintaining a steady connection. ✓ Perfect for streaming and gaming. ✓ Works as well as a short 1 meter cable. ✓ No issues with signal drop. Important when a stable connection is required for VPN, file transfer. ✗ It is slightly awkward to unravel, but it is 50ft! Protip: If you plan to get the most speed ensure you have this plugged in to the correct port on your router! Most routers have ports that are much faster than than the others!

Good cable and long length for low cost however just a watch out that the colour is grey although the picture looks much closer to white (it is buried in the lengthy description that the cable is “PVC jacket, grey” - it definitely won’t match your white skirting boards!

I bought this when it was on a daily deal. I got it for my laptop which seems to lose connection over wifi besides being only 2 metres away from the router. It works. Then on Friday one of our TVs decided not to play ball at all with the router. I gave up trying to remove it from my laptop so passed it over to my husband to unplug it. He is a computer engineer (started out as a rocket scientist) and he was fuming with it, asked me where I had bought it from etc. Eventually he got it out and put it into the TV which is now working perfectly. I'll get another one for my laptop but a different brand.

This item is exactly as advertised - a long cable to extend from an internet router to a computer/xbox/ps3 or any other device that needs an internet connection. On our particular need it was for an xbox that did not have a wireless adapter. It arrived next day with our Prime membership and was opened to find exactly as expected - an extremely long cord to match the fittings our on BT HomeHub to the back of the Xbox360. The cable is quite thick, but this is the case with all ethernet cables. The clips have a plastic protector which is great to prevent the clips from falling out or breaking. The length of the cord is more than plenty to reach from the main socket where the HomeHub is to almost anywhere in the house, though probably not exactly along the walls. Great because there is no chance of interference from other wireless adapters. My partner plays online on his xbox Live membership all the time and only experiences lag when our isp is slowed down due to living in a rural area with an older exchange. The connection from the cable itself to the connection is also of good quality and doesn't feel like it could snap in two with a flick like some others. The price is perfect with some of the main competition with this in our local area from PCWorld being nearer to £30-40 than the price of this item. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap, good, and fast solution to extending the reach of their internet connection.

The packaging is basic, but it is packed very well. If you brought other AmazonBasic products, you should be familiar with the packaging as it is similar to other AmazonBasic products. It came in a brown cardboard box that is sealed. Inside, there is the Ethernet cable and that's basically it. But what more do you want? I get the product that I want and the price is really good and that's what I expect when I buy AmazonBasic products. The ethernet cable is basically as described in the product description. It is a Cat-5e cable and it is 50 feet. The product is sturdy and the quality is very good. I have used it for more than a year and it is still working properly. Overall, it seems like a good value, especially compared to some other retailers. You might be able to get something cheaper when other retailers have the cable on sale, but otherwise, for the quality of the cable, it's a great value. I would purchase again if needed. Pro: - Good price and good value, especially compared to other products - Good, basic packaging. Protects the cable really well. - Great quality and sturdy. - Reliable. Have installed it for more than a year and it's still working great. - Speed as advertised Cons: - None that I could see so far. You can probably get it cheaper if you wait for cables to go on sale at other store, but you will probably wait for quite some time and if you need the cable now, this is the one to get.
